Nice wall, but it suffers from a blurriness that I've found distracting everytime it comes up as my wall paper (have a rotating sequence).

You can solve this by using partial /selective sharpening. The most obviously blurriness is around the face. But if it is sharpened to perfection, you can see alot of jaggies on the arms, very minor in lower chin, lower lip and hair outline.

To solve these you can mask off areas that you don't want to sharpen, OR (IMO, a powerful method, you can setup a %mask -- easiest way to do this is in quick-mask mode. Instead of painting in black/white, -- say white allows through full effect, and black if full block, you can set your paint brush to 20% opacity. You can use 1 or more strokes to layer on the amount of "blocking" of any effect you later apply. So for the hair and lower chin/lip, only 1-2 strokes of 20% opacity black will give about a 40% blocking overlay. For the outside arms and a few other, lower parts that are outer body edges, 80-100% blocking is preferable.

Then when you apply the sharpen, you'll get a 100% effect to face, but nearly 0 to the arms (where the sharpen shows up with jaggies), and about an 60-80% opacity will allow through 20-40% of the effect.

As an example of this, I did the above in photoshop so you can compare the results. You can see the full size by clicking on the thumb .

If you wish to make use of the image I cooked up in anyway (replacing the posted one or whatever), feel free to use it _unconditionally_ (i.e. you don't have to give any credit or anything -- consider it yours -- since you could do the same thing yourself if you took the time. It's just a matter of following a 'technical' recipe, and I don't consider it an addition of any creativity).

wow!! very much! Lucy is a very beautiful, although she was already beautiful, right? not to mention the finish of the photo is perfect this is the kind of wallpaper that I put on my desktop for sure hopefully do more like this wallpaper

cute! lucy's dress is lovely, and the blue in the background of the wallpaper matches her sunny yellow dress. this was a great scan to work with :D i think the floral patterns in the background are really nice, and i like how you included the official Fairy Tail logo. the soft shades of blue and pink are great as a background too. but i think that the words are not necessary, and the words put with the logo and how different the two fonts are kind of makes it look a little weird and distracting. i think the horizontal lines can be removed too. but other than that, a really cute and sweet wallpaper! :)
