Just focusing on the subject, I like the way you used the soft gradients to make the shadows and contours of her skin really smooth. The amount of detail you used on the hat is also impressive.

Very nice job on the vector and I like the bg texture you used. :D I only think the colors on the vector are not as rich or varied as the scan (like on the hair, hat and skin),they appear more pastel-like here, so using more gradients with different hues and darker shades would help that I think. Not sure if you used Inkscape, but if in photoshop I would definitely recommend using blending modes to boost the colors. :D

I decided to check out this wallpaper out of curiosity and, now I'm really happy that I did. Your vector is amazing and the colors packs quite a punch. However, I don't feel that the background does much justice for the character but it works. The character is so refined that there really is no need for a fussy detailed background anyway, and the color compliments her quite well. Her hat is a bit overwhelming but hey, it gives her more of a dramatic feel. I've grown a soft spot in my heart for cute characters like her so thanks for making this wallpaper so that I may add it to my collection, lol. Stunning work, thanks for sharing!

The vector is beautiful. The detail and blending is wonderful, you did an awesome job! Against the very back image, they don't mix perfectly, but it's not bad. Overall composition is simple, and lets you admire the vector. Excellent work.

Nice concept and composition! Really love the colors and simplicity of this one. You could use some other effects on the BG like there are butterflies coming out of the part. XD Just an opinion though. Hahaha. Still, great job! ^^v

damn nice vector for the character the textured bg i think have made this wall out of light, maybe it'll be brighter if there is no texture, i still prefer the bg color in original scan,also i thought below the legs there will be some smoke...but it's still turn out nicely anyway

Nice vector really, good to see some entry for VD already^^ The background appears a bit plain, but that's ok I guess since the focus lies mainly on the character. I think that the texture on the greenish part of the bg hurts the overall image a bit though. =\ The clean vectoring style on the hair looks just too different from grungy texturing, so u should have either textured lighter and softer or applied something similar on the character on some parts like the hair too (although I would prefer the 1st way). It's a ncie wall nevertheless, and one of your best vectors so far!

I really like how you made the vector, it's neat and clean as expected. I do think the BG for this is very unfitting...I know you tried to follow the scan but it would've been nicer to see you venture out and try a different BG for this one. Perhaps a beach theme, flower field, tropical is what comes to mind when I see this. Also she could use some highlights on her hair, though since the BG isn't really scenic it might be more out of place here.

Cool vector as always and i love how you vector those flowers. I love the toning and shades of her skin as well. The background is simple and you let the original background as your wallie background as well but i like how you did on those white circles dissolving to smaller circles and love the asymmetric shapes of those :D Nice texture used as well. I never thought someone would vector that scan, but that awesome. Kuroboushi Kouhaku's art work really doesn't lend itself to be vectored easily, so the fact that you've still retained his style in a vector is impressive :3 Simple background, but it really brings your attention to the vector, and that's definitely the centerpiece! :D

You're improving quite a bit!

This is the style of skin shading I like. It's really subtle by the use of gradients and vector shapes are slightly visible to reveal some harder edges. I really like the flower hat. All the flowers are clean and have soft colors.

I think some slightly darker shades in areas that should be darker (like her arm pit area, inner side of her left arm) would give it a bit more depth. Without harming the softness of the character. I would have liked to see more done to the hair. The bottom half of her seems too plain compared to the top.

Nice wallpaper. I like the background textures and the foreground is nicely done. However: compared to the scan it lacks a bit of detail, which in my opinion isn't that bad, but not that great either. On the other hand I can imagine that it'd be much harder to create a fully detailed vector ... thanks for the wallpaper.
