My God. This wall is dark, and moody but it screams out to the viewer. The way you made the hues of green and the blending of all of your green colors is very well made and well thought out. I have nothing to say but... (Jaw drop)...

Great! Thanks for sharing. There's not much walls for UDDUP and/or Mamoru and it's refreshing add to collection, especially here in AP. I love the moon. The buildings kinda looks weird to me particularly the nearest in the left side. I think Mamoru should be a little bigger by 20%-40%. It looks like the moon is the focal point or the whole scenery. Mamoru here seems like another part of the background.

Woohoo finally I've had my eye on this series since I saw a very nice scan of it on MT a while back. I really like how the background is out of focus and has hints of the impressionist style; and how the fore-character is painted in realism -- and everything with amazing shadow and depth. At 100% view of the largest resolution, the daubs might not go well with the text of desktop icons' transparent BGs... but I don't have a 2560x1600-res monitor anyways so scaling will fix the problem. Makes 'eerie' looks awesome though.

This actually looks amazing from the thumbnail. But as i fullviewed, i'm not really liking the blotchy effect on the background. I think it would've been better if you applied the same smudge method as you did on the character. It'll blend in better. It actually looks ok on the clouds, but the buildings should have a smoother painted effect like the character. Nice concept though. ^^

EDIT: Yup it looks much better now with the smooth background. 8D *favs*

I also agree that the edges of the buildings should be smoother and more illuminated by the moon, but I really like the colors, the character and the clouds. Nice job! :)

with more shine on the buildings it'd have even greater effect but I like it anyway. especially the sky, along with the moon it's breathtaking - they're what caught my attention. I love the smudge effect on the character, too. very good :)

Now that is a wallpaper that is really well done. Great use effects for the painted look. Reminds me of some sort of super hero/Matrix theme. Very good use of green tones to get the mood across.

The sun glasses remind me of Gurren Lagann though :P Over all great job, keep it up :)

Ahhh...Nnoooo you beat me to it and here i thought i was the first one to submit a wallpaper for this manga if only i could have submitted it sooner, still i am surprised that you havent read this manga yet you created such a great wallpaper i never imagined that this scan could be used with smudge effect perphaps next time i will make one using this effect. also wht other painting effects did you use?

awesome scan, it's totally bad-ass lol. I like the green style a lot, it creates a great mood. Also nice painting work, well done. I do have some points to critisize though. The bg (especially buildings) could definitely be sharper, and I see some spots that look like poor cleaning of the scan (or maybe just bad quality JPEG export, not sure), like the character reflection in his sunglasses. Also that sig in the bg would have been enough imo, it fits so well, while the 2nd sig you applied stands out too much with that red tone. Anyways, nice wall mate.

I can only echo PaoPorsche. The color scheme is excellent; so very well thought out. Love how you see the title UDDUP on the billboard only in full res.

Everything is subtle, smooth, and it makes me want to stare at it all day just to appreciate the workmanship.

This is very, very nicely done. I like a lot how the green tones look. A + for the apocalyptic look. Too bad the quality is not what I'd say good.

Wow.... Is this the dark hour from the Persona 3 games? If not then it sure looks like it because the background is exactly the same! Especially for the sky and that moon. Anyways, the character looks pretty cool in the moonlight just like the awesome guy he is (can't remember his name though since it's been a while since I read this manga). Lastly, thanks for the wallpaper and for the good resolution!/
