it's very cartoonish and I like the small mascot of chii as well as the buildings

The lamp at the side looks kinda out of place because you see, there is no shadow under it and it's light color clashes with the black BG, I think it's better if it was removed. Then the star looks odd, there is no glow in it and also the small stars look like snow The moon is nice although it would be better if it was vectored ^^

very nice and simple style. it's clean and smooth and has the right atmosphere. but how about trying to put small stars like the big one instead of round ones? many small stars, I wonder how it'd look like.

Hey there,

I also believe that the lamp is out of place. But instead of removing it, you could cast some minor shadows on the ground (like an ellipse circulating around the lamps foot) and maybe even adding some more lamps along the way which are turned off or on. The star in the sky should be glowing, but then it could drag too much attention away to the background, since the moon already has some glow to it. Therefore this element could be removed in order to not distract the viewers attention too much off the most important thing - the foreground.

The foreground however is missing something powerful.. it could be more powerful colors or something that could drag and hold the viewers attention (like when a character is "looking" at the viewer). Also the reflection under the mascot seems a bit odd - I think the perspective is wrong, but I don't have an idea of how to fix this.

Overall: a nice attempt to recreate scenes from the "picture book", which was written by Chitose Hibiya for Chii/Elda, yet it still could use some improvements to look even better.

Rare occasion to see the story book that basically drove the story as a main wallpaper. 90% of chobits walls tend to have Chi or some other perscom from the series and as grand as they are, it becoming Cliche. What i love is really it seems you took the time to freshen up the storybook image and make it more beautiful but keeping the original theme in mind, loneliness. Keep up the good work solid job to say the least.
