Miwa Shirow Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down

I've turned into a wall making machine recently- dunno end of the semester- extreme creativity that's been balled up over the past few months- who knows?

Anyway I've had my eye on this scan for awhile so I finally decided to use it! I started by making a background that would go along with the idea of Alice in Wonderland since I think the two fat boys are tweedledee and tweedledum and the girl is obviously Alice. I put them in a field which was hard because of the perspective that they're in. I made the field using photoshop grass. After that I added some flowers that I drew myself. I then put a lens flare over the back like the sun was rising or something. After that I put them in the field( which was difficult because I had to tweak some of the perspective. I then extracted them from the background that they were in- which was white- and messed with they're colors a little so that they matched the background better. This whole wall took me about mmm maybe 4 hours over a period of two to three days, I was juggling like nine other things including studying for finals- bleh.

I personally like the way it turned out although I'm thinking about cropping the image to zoom in more on the characters so tell me what y'all think about that.
