Wow ok. This is my first wallpaper that I have submitted to AP. I am a little nervous but I think it is good enough not to be rejected.

This wallpaper took me about 2 1/2 hours to do. The metal panels were a learning process seeing as I had never done them before. However I think they turned out well. Each panel is the colour which I think goes well with a certain part of the character. For e.g. Vicious' Hair or Spike's suit.

The images used are some scans I got from AP. I would just like to thank everyone who uploads them. The high res in the images really helps.

I decided to go without text for I think I always ruin mine when I try to put some in. Also the wallpaper kind of speaks for its self. A wallpaper with good looking text will be my next project.

I decided to do a group wallpaper because I didn't see any group bebop ones here. Plus I love all main characters of the series.

Not sure I quite get why metal panels. The ideas not a bad one, I just would have gone down a route using more of an inspiration from the title seuence I think - more of a pop/vector art, jazzey, blokes of colour sort of thing. To me personally the metal panels seems a little too tech - I know bebop is sci-fi, but it has more of an emphasis on the american pop-culture style I think.

You might find session zero of some use in this regard if you haven't used it already - it's good for bouncing ideas off of people and getting suggestions.

It's not at all bad for a first submission, though :).

Anywho, the wall could do with being saved at a higher quality setting - there's a bit of artifacting. We reccommend people use "save for web" in photoshop and set the quality bar to about 70%. That will ensure a reasonably sized image, with little to no artifacting.

Yeah defiantly a great idea with good colours to support the characters, but the metal panel thing, I don??t think it suits the wallpaper. Trismugistus??s comment on the way it should be more of a jazzy blues kind of theme really would have suited it well. Otherwise it??s a really great wallpaper. Can??t wait to see what you come up with next.

With the metal panels I was trying to bring out more of the futuristic part of bebop. I also thought that they looked like the ships hull...heh heh I probably should have put that in the comments ^_^; But thank you for all the tips, I will try session zero next time.

I saved it as a jpeg with the highest quality.

This is a Pretty cool set up. Alot of thing tie in, like the metal panel color go from light to a orange. This also brings in order, from good to evil, in a interesting way. This would probly be one that i would just stare at.

I like the metal panels, and the colours. But I think that maybe the characters shouldn't be transparent. Also, it seems weird to have Vicious there. You might want to take him out and just leave the Bebop crew members. Or add Julia, so that who have all the important people from the main story.
