i like the simplicity. it allows for the character image to grab all the attention, but it still sets the stage for it at the same time. not as good as your air wall though! -runs away- XD

tho some stuff to point out some stuff around her makes her look flat or in a harsher word slapped-on, maybe coz she's a bit on the grainy side compared to the BG, some subtle texture on the BG wont hurt, but that's just me being picky

This Erementar Gerad wallpaper is so perfect! I like it very much, especially because of the great image of this girl. One of the best Erementar Gerad wallpapers I've ever seen. The colours fit, and the dead tree, it's all so beautiful! (And the effects, great!) Be sure that I'll use it one day^^

The background gives it the feeling of sadness, and that is what you are obviously aiming for... and you did this successfully. The layers that you added make the wallpaper seem even chillier. It feels like a cold blast of air is streaming past the character in the paper. The blues also add to this effect. My only suggestion is about the background. The hills are a bit too blue and causes the wallpaper to lose some realistic quality. I recommend a slight darker hue or a neutral color. You usually can't go wrong with browns and grays.

This wallpaper really gives off a sad aura and makes me feel as though she was filled with sadness. The background fits almost perfectly with the characteristics of Ren. I like Len long time ago, just after I started the anime. The background of snow makes her looks even lonelier, which matched the title about sadness.

The part of dress blowing up in the wind could be more realistic. I don't think her dress can be blown that high even in strong wind.

I love the bright, vibrant colors and the overall feel, though it seems like you could have done a little more with the idea. Still, it's a very nice wall.
