This wallpaper is done in a festive mood - I've finished my finals for my foundation and I'm having my three-months holidays now (the camp next week doesn't count much).

ORIGINAL IMAGE:

In a fit of happiness, I brought out my laptop and my long-ignored tablet, then started painting away. Except for the guy's hair and face, which was vectored then painted over, everything else is painted. As a result of the adrenaline which occurs every time one finishes exams, I managed to complete this wallpaper in about three days. Yeah, I'm not well known for patience, so forgive any minor errors this wallpaper might have.

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 (for basic colours and vectors) --> SAI (Most of the painting was done here) --> Adobe Photoshop CS2 (For adding effects and touch-ups)

This is my first time using SAI after hearing so many of my friends gushing over how natural and realistic the brushes are for painting...and I myself reached the same conclusion =D So do give the program a try ^^

And, forgive my lack of creativity, I think this looks similar though the colours are all different xD

looks good although i think you lost the dark-ish look the original image had which wouldve looked better imo.

It looks a bit messy in certain places (especially when it comes to hair and BG) but the overall feel is quite cute...and evil....Evil cuteness. XD

AH THIS IS SO CUTE, damn how could i miss this its awesome ;) coloring is wonderful, but somehow when i look at it this wall is really creepy with that deep red that is used+

Nice, you've made a great work with that small scan, the painting is neither sharp nor blurred, it looks how it should, it's great. The extension is great, so I like the background~
