Nice re-CG-ing, lol! I like your clouds/sky better than in the original scan and I must say the atmosphere looks better and more realistic like this. The only thing that bugs me a bit are the feathers; they look kind of jagged and too blurry in some places...

This wall looks awesome. There's a slight bit of blur just above cloud's head (well, more like the tip of his head), but other than that, I really like it. Awesome job~

Hahaha just finished watching the FF VII movie again... such a classic XDD Really enjoyed this scene, however I do think the feather up front is a bit out-of-place... try mb sharpening the edges more, might work better ;D

The lighting, cloud, the feathers; everything is very well made and comes together in a absolutely gorgeous wall. Amazing.

This is hands down a great wall.

Although the technique of re-CG is still obscure for me, I can see the patience and hard work that went to this wall. I think its now a reverse of the original scene. This time it looks like Cloud is waiting for someone coming down (probably Aerith) since you used white feathers.

I hope this will become an instant hit here in AP, Ashlie. You sure have "leveled-up" already

Ohhh, looks pretty! I like the whole atmosphere on this wallpaper, you certainly created a very special mood. There are some things you should take in consideration, the feathers look very repetitive, and the one at the left side looks kinda enlarged when it should be more blurry since it's supposed to be a sort of close up. Maybe if you added different kind of feathers and in different shades it would look better, I think. The blurring trick would apply to the swords too, it would give the wall a sense of depth. Other than that, I really love the CGing you did here, and kudos to you for trying out new styles 8)

Very good! I like it, besides one thing. The watermark. Not saying that it's a big thing but it can be a nuisance if placed in the wrong place. Maybe make it transparent and over to an edge? Also 1600x900 please =D

This is a great piece, you've captured the theme of FFVII very well. Maybe a black feather would've been better though, just an thought.

Mmm Final Fantasy...mmm scenic....mmm Cloud... *drools* Haha ok now onto the wallpaper! This is gonna pretty long.

Well first of all, i like the fact that you changed the sky to a more heavenly look rather than the original dark and dull one. So good work on that! You also did a pretty good job on the re-cg. But Cloud's clothes seem kinda stiff to me. It kinda lost it's textures and details. What would make it look better is probably the textures. You can try using textured brushes or maybe a cloth texture over his clothes. Another thing are those metal plates that he's standing on. The sides of it looks kinda sharp against the sky background which makes it have a "cut-out" look. So more blurring and soft eraser would be useful there. Oh and i think Cloud needs a shadow under him judging from the lighting in the wallpaper. Next are those feathers. The smaller ones should have a lower opacity. Same goes for the rest of the feathers. You should use different opacities to show distance and depth. And that's about it. Don't get me wrong, i'm still loving it which is why i'm gonna fav it. But all those things i mentioned could make it better. ;)

Oh my god! This is simply amazing!

This is super beautiful! The lighting is absolutely breath taking! While I don't like the feather in the left hand corner... it takes my attention away~ Also because the sword is on the right. It makes the wallpaper even but it takes your eyes away from Cloud who is the whole point of the image. Quality is beautiful love! Brava!

I'd like a female character on there D:... well .. this one does look good too of course, but maybe it's due to the fact that I'm a guy that I prefer to look at some girl in a wall..^^..

As to the technical features of the wallpaper: nice work on the reCG, but the lighting is a bit off in my opinon. The shadows are too strong at parts where they should be lighter (the ground where Cloud stands) and if it's his drop shadow, then it's wrong, because the light source comes kicks in from a different angle and the ambient light isn't as hard to cast such shadows.

On another note: somehow the colors around the horizont are a bit odd and instead of mixing themselves, create an impression of a noise filter. The idea of the feather is nice too, but somehow it doesn't really work out in my opinon. While bluring it and thus leaving the focus on Cloud and the foreground is a very good idea - the feather appears to be jagged or something, which gives a strange impression.

Also I'd liked it if the signature wasn't right in the middle and thus creating such a contrast to the darker parts above it - I have my Taskbar at the top of the screen and hence the signature would pop at me everytime I see my desktop.

Certainly good work on your first re-CGed wallpaper. I think you can improve though and create even better wallpapers for our pleasure :-). Thank you for sharing.

SS in such a short time, I would expect nothing less from you and this wallpaper. Final Fantasy 7 happens to be my favorite title in the franchise and since I have no idea how re-CGing is done, I am impressed by this work.

Nice job for a first reCG. For everything being so smooth, the sword edges are a little too clean cut and the extraction's a little obvious as a result. Having the swords blend in would bring it together better. (Unfortunately, this is where I will fail in having any suggestions of how to do so >__>;;) My only other suggestion would be to make the ground fit the reCG a bit better. It's very clean and detailed whereas Cloud and the swords aren't as much so. Or vice versa, since I know you want to keep the texture of the ground. Maybe some texture to his clothes then, or something of the sort.

Good job on this! Everything done has gotten it a brighter, softer feel. Everything isn't that detailed but you have all the aspects from the strands of hair to the cuts on his arm. The feather in the front left seems to be big and up close but I'm not sure how it would compare to the thing behind it. Colors work well creating a gorgeous scene for Cloud.

This is a wall with a "WOW" effect <3 the wall is extreamly lovely. The background looks so awesome cause of the different effects of light. Cloud is looking good as usual, but yes your approach of showing him in such a situation is really good. You've done a lovely job over the whole wall so congratulations from me. For a wall that serves so many firsts for you, I am once again pleasantly surprised at how good you are with making wallpapers.

First off, I love the screen you chose. So many other scans or screens are overused in the wallpapers on AP (not that it's entirely a bad thing though it does get old after a while) and it's nice to see one that is a little different.

Second, the re-cgs are incredible. Looking at the wallpaper from a distance, you would think it was a screenshot itself. It looks almost exactly as if it was taken directly from the movie. I had to take a closer look to fully register that it wasn't.

Third, the addition of the light rays and feathers give this rough scene some much needed softness and a sense of calm. I feel as if Cloud has just had a big weight lifted off his shoulders, like he's taking a moment to breathe and rest his body before moving on.

Excellent job on a beautiful wallpaper. :3

This is an incredible wallpaper! I can't find any other words that could help me describe this image besides this ones. The way you handled the different elements of this wallpaper,the perspective you used, everything has a very good position here. I'd like to highlight the way you worked with the light,as well as the faint shadows,because the effect of light coming through the clouds is amazing,almost like the real thing =)

Another thing that I really liked was the feathers' effect,as well as the swords lying on the ground.If recall correctly,this is the scene that occurs right after Sephirot's defeat. This wallpaper truly makes you feel very close to Cloud's sentiments on those moments =)
