Kingdom Hearts Twilight Flame

I haven't been touching Photoshop for a long time due to projects...and schoolwork. So here I am, totally out of touch and in bad shape.

So here I will again put a lengthy description, hidden in the spoiler. Here is the original scan. I wanted to vector it for some time, but did not get around to doing it, partly because I had no idea what to do after vectoring it.

Then, I finished 358/2 Days. Personally, what left the most impression on me was Axel's frustration, which increased throughout the game. He was stuck with the dirty work, he was entrusted tasks like hunting down his friends or killing other Organization members, and the people that mattered to him were drifting away from him (because they were too busy emoting XD). I decided that I wanted to *TRY* and convey that.

Well, so here's Twilight Town, in flames. I wanted it to *KIND OF* signify that whatever mattered to him was disappearing. Something like that. Erm....guess I didn't really pull it off.....

Of course, I used the 358/2 official artwork of Axel, rather than the one in the scan. I revectored it and thought I was going to die at the zips.

Then, when I thought the worst was over....I realized that I had to vector the buildings and the Nobodies as well. I could have died at the buildings.

THEN, when I thought it was finally over...I realized that the background and colour blending was much harder than I thought. So after many, many adjustments, here it is.

I decided a Session Zero was necessary, because I'm so out of touch and because I'm working on my laptop, which has all sorts of reflections on the screen so I may have missed out defects.

Any comments/suggestions are welcome....except....I can't move the Nobody in front of Axel, because of a reason (albeit a stupid one, but it's still a reason). But that remains undisclosed XD

EDIT: After staring at it for a while, I realized how horribly blurred the background looked, and how clumsy the embers were. So, I redid the background, added in some red clouds for effect, and redid the embers with a different brush. Also, I darkened and desaturated the Nobodies and enhanced and brightened Axel. I hope this is better :)
