Final Fantasy XIII Big Damn Heroes

Wow, I am impressed. It has a big canvas feel to it.

You called the overall effect, that of an old photo. I tend to see it as the kind of color that characterized the artwork of, those old short story sci-fi magazines and comic books of the 1950's. I love it when I can find the time to enter a library, that has a serious book collection, and browse the stacks to explore the worlds created by authors like: Frederik Pohl, William Tenn, Walter Miller, or even Isaac Asimov. I thought that the color in those artworks was a bit too muted, but the stories that I found in those old books have conditioned me to value the meaning of the images. I'm not an FF fan, but I like your wall.

Wow, there's not a square inch in this wallpaper where something awesome isn't happening! Obviously reminds me of the big chapter 12 intro where the party and their Eidolons enter Eden and start an all-out firefight on the racetrack.

I actually thought you got the title from the TVtropes article of the same name, since I frequent that site way too much. (Though, the article gets its name from Firefly, so...yeah). On whether the lights work: I think they definitely do. Everything's nice and visible, and the colors make everything nice and distinguishable. I like the use of green around the middle...very Cocoon-ish.
