I was bored...There isn't really much to say about this one except that I was just going brush crazy. I'd discovered how to make brushes appear when I wanted them to and so what other way to flex this new ability then to just go all out?
I started with a War of Genesis scan and progressed from there. I didn't really change anything in the scan except for drawing in a bit of the blanket there at the end. The rest of it I overloaded with splatter, feather, and one sea monster brush(I was super excited when I found this one.) After that I added in explosion because lets face it- half of her face is pretty much exploded out.
I always like using brushes on photoshop hope you guys like!
PS- Critiques are welcome but don't be mean about it. Old saying- If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

A very graphic wallpaper indeed, but in a good way ;) you really did go all out on the brushes, but it works very well. The blood red goes well with the cream background.

Well that's a magnificent explosion of brushes to say the least! But hey, if you are able to do it like you did then life needs a few more explosions I say!
I was at a loss for a moment as to why you didn't give the text a thin outline so you could see it better, but then I gave the entire paper another full look and saw that the explosion was coming from the girl, and then it made more sense as to why you avoided the outline, without it the brushes and explosion have the bloodstain feel to them. Or so I guess is the purpose.
Great choice on colors as well, you can never go wrong with a nice color scheme of red and biege (light tan) and this proves it.
One thing that pesters me somewhat is that the left hand side looks vacant. Maybe having moved the girl more to the left and having the explosion of brushes be bigger or expanded a bit to the right would fix that nagging feeling in the back of my head.
But other than that, fantastic job at "Blowing my mind away".

Good playing with the brushwork. You should've tried to mix up the text too! Nice wallpaper nonetheless!

OMG,what a sick design!I don't say I don't like it,haha...it's a great idea...splatter rocks! I do think the feathers and the sea monster are a bit too much...they kinda interfere with the mood this one should have,and that's gore...maybe you should have made the feathers less noticeable,like used a lighter color for them,made them transparent...then the blood would really stand out great! Anyways,kudos for creativity!^^
