I really like the art of Blame- even if the story is a bit dark.
I started with cropping a scan and messing with it's colors. I then put some brushes over the whole thing using color burn, etc... Can't remember them all... ~(@_@)~ Anyway I like this wall because it's so dark and bleak. Not that I'm a dark and bleak person but every now and then it's nice to do a wall like this one. Besides I was listening to the Dark Knight music by Hans Zimmer and lets face it that man is a muse.
PS- Critiques are welcome but don't be mean about it.

well, what can i say, this is a very nice example of someone who knows what is doingç. it is totally in the mood of blame, i love the characters position and background it is quite simple and to the point, wich makes it even more interesting nice work, very well done, good for you

good overall layout and concept here. the mood is set well, and the graininess is very appropriate.
it would be nice to see it in a larger resolution. you should also, clean up the scan, and sharpen the lines on it. i know you wanted the dirty feel, the lack of detail, but it'd have far more appeal, depth, and strength if you made it sharp first, then dirtied it. a lot of seemingly redundant work i know, but work that would really be noticed in the final product.

hate to double post, but i forgot to mention the border is not working on this.
two main reasons. first, it's not pure black, and it's right next to pure, or almost pure black, this makes it seem weak as a framing agent. second, it adds no real compositional value to the wall. it's just extra space. it'd be better to use a vignette if you want to frame it.
