DREAM, DREAM... Oikose REAL WORLD
Basically this is a screenshot turned into wallpaper with some changes and additions of my own. The screenshot comes from one of the endings of Shugo Chara (I don’t remember which one since I took it long time ago).
I love this screenshot, not because of the angle and overall composition, but because Amu’s expression.
She looks like she is having one of those crazy kirakira, fuwafuwa moments many shoujo characters have from time to time...... or maybe she is just having a perverted dream. If so, don’t blame her, but blame those damn bishounen characters that keep appearing in front of her. They can corrupt anyone’s mind (even the purest ones), if seen in excess (Sunako form Yamato Nadeshiko should know a lot about it, so ask her for more regarding this seriously dangerous matter... lol)
Anyways, I just did the usual stuff. I vectored the screenshot in Illustrator, and then used Photoshop to do the rest (textures, lighting, etc etc etc). Done! Yea, it was that easy...
New additions, changes:
Textures (they are everywhere: Amu’s shirt, desk, chair, books, curtains, etc, etc...... No textures, no fun; no fun, no wallpaper)
Amu’s blush (emphasis on her bush (Amu + blush = cuter). A shoujo character that blush is better than one that doesn’t... well not really, but hey! whatever)
Glitter sparkles (if it is a good dream, glitter sparkles are a must... kirakira)
Book stuff/Notebook scribbles (Ikuto or Tadase? Amu’s lifetime dilemma... a dilemma which we all know the answer)
Blurred part of the BG (blur, blur, and more blur until there is nothing left to see)
Added eraser from screenshot #1 and randomly placed it within the scene (a last minute addition. You cannot have a notebook and a pencil without an eraser... you just can't)
More (small stuff that I can’t remember...at least right now)
P.S : Yes, the light of the desk lamp is on. Why? I just like wasting electricity, especially when it’s in the form of pixels.

Decades later, after the anime series and 1st manga ended, I bring you another Shugo Chara wallpaper. I really hope you guys like it. Enjoy.

I like the whole composition of this wall.
It's so gleeful and carefree looking. I also like the additions you put onto the screenshot, as you noted in your process pic. Overall, the wallpaper is so clean. It would have been nice if you placed the little fairy girls also but, it's just me.

nice remaking of a screenshot. I like the combination of vectors with delicious texturing. It gives the wall a nice depth which is vital when perspective plays a major role. Simple techniques overall, but very effective and well executed. Good job.

haha I always love this part in the ending(I think it was the ending),nice wallpaper it's really good,although I think making ran,miki,su and daja appear making funny faces to amu or something like that would make a funny touch,but I still like the wallpaper,good job my friend!

I've always admired those that could make an awesome wallpaper where the character used is in some natural setting (and not just awesome colors/effects). Thus, I'm saying I love the books, the desk, the natural look to the entire wall. Even the curtain looks awesome (though the design and colors feel a tad bit outta place to me, but that's prob just me.) Love the wallie overall.

Lol… I’m watching this series at the moment and this is one of my favorite scenes from all the endings that I’ve seen so far. Nice way to make it somewhat different from the original by adding those small changes too (they really do the difference), as well textures. You did an awesome job re-creating this, really.
As other have said, I wished you had included the 3 shugo charas in there, but taking in consideration this came from a screenshot, it’s quite understandable. I mean you would had to have done a lot of work re-creating them since in the screenshot you practicality can’t see any of their details that well.

You did a great job cleaning up the screenshot! It's a very cute wallpaper~ but I think that the curtain in the bg doesn't really fit with the rest of the piece.
