I'm going to be frank right now. I can't decided which series I'm tired of seeing wallpapers from. Between this series, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yūutsu, Touhou, Vocaloids and Fate/Stay Night, I can't decide which category I'd love to see thrown in a well and never hear from again. It's not that I hate them, but rather tired of seeing them when there is so much other content out there to work from. At least I thought I felt that way. I saw your wallpaper and it smacked me in the face because I realized that someone could take an overly crowded series and make it fresh and exciting. Even then, those words don't do this wallpaper justice.

It wouldn't be Samurai Champloo without focusing on Mugen, Jin and Fuu. Each of them brought a fantastic element to the series that just wouldn't of been nearly as great had one of them not been in it. The subtle use of red into each of the character's outfits was brilliant and they have such a stunning look to them as well.

Now this could get wordy. I'm not too familiar with the former style, but I can definitely feel the influence of graffiti in this wallpaper and in a very big way. By combining both elements, you didn't favor one in place of the other, but rather brought about a nice merger of the two all the while combining the very atmosphere and scenery of the television series. I don't know what it is, but there is just something about that tannish/peach combined with that beautiful red that just sends shivers up and down my spine. In only the best way, mind you. Keeping it in the center of the wallpaper was brilliant and well balanced, so it doesn't consume everything.

I could of probably spent longer going on about how I loved what you did with the background, how I found to birds to be random, but awesome and how everything comes together so nicely with such a varied color pallet. I've seen quite a few great wallpapers from you, but I dare say that this is by far the finest piece I have seen from you. I'm so very glad that you not only decided to revisit this and finish it, but also to share it with the rest of us. Absolutely breath-taking and now I have a strong desire to re-watch Samurai Champloo.

I love how you managed to combine Japanese art with hints of the hip hop culture that is so important in Samurai Champloo, here represented by the graffiti art Also have to compliment your technique since your vectors are always clean and nicely detailed It's interesting to look at color wise, kudos on that since it's a color palette I would never have thought worked so well Really don't know what to say about the composition, it just works wonderfully.

Whereas Fuu's pose is perfect for the designs, so I'd be curious to see what a Fuu-only version of the wall looks like XD

This is so amazing! I thought for sure it was vectored but when I found out no I just couldn't believe it. The lines are so smooth and the picture is lovely and graphically well designed. My only critique which comes from personal taste is that there's not enough colour. I could see you doing a lot here colour wise, and typically I don't like to stare at white bgs =(... But anyway really awesome use of creativity and skill +fav here
