This is a wallpaper which release I've delayed for an eternity, no kidding, I think its been almost 1 year and a half ^^;All the pictures appearing are Clamp's official artworks.
I was very lucky to get my hand on a very rare file folder (released by Kodansha) from a japanese seller online, which got the SakuxbearxSyao picture (it wasn't colored, B&W). And I decided to make a wall focused on it.
My first idea was miles away from what you can see now, and I actually spent many hours on it so I suppose I will finish it and release it sometimes in the future ^^
My inspirations: Utada Hikaru 's song, called " Apple and Cinnamon ", somehow, I thought these lines " Started out so simple and innocent//Chemistry like apple and cinnamon " were very fitting the image of CCS|SxS :D Since I wanted to focus on the SxS pic, I tried making the BG more discreet (you can see there are several boxes in grayish/purplish scale) but also, I thought it would be far too overcharged if everything was in full color. I also got inspired from LoveCom artworks and a gift paper I had at home~ I wanted it to be Retro, not too sure I achieved that goal ^^;
Themes: Retro, Apple and Love I guess? The artworks are extremely simple (you can tell the pics are not Clamp's more fancy drawings and definitely not artbook material...) so I made it simple at the moment of using them too.
Note: the box in which you can see many items cluttered was pretty random of me I guess? XD These are most of the key items in both the manga and anime of CCS, in which SxS romance is involved: the teddy bear made by Syaoran, his handkerchief, the cup from the milk'n'honey oneshot in the artbook, the white day gift from Sakura, the chocolate box Syaoran gave Sakura, the scarf in the anime, and the handphone from the anime too since there were some memorable moments with it (like when Sakura called him to ask him if it was fine to call him by his first name~). It's missing the kimono Sakura made for him in the manga, but I didn't know how to included such a thing ^^; I also didn't include the Love Card since it had a whole box all to itself already :P

This is a really nice wall...
concept: It's a good original idea and the retro theme it was a very good choice!
composition: it's so particular and truly is well done! Every elements in your wallpaper is in the right position! Infact, despite there are a lot of elements it doesn't seem chaotic, but contrary it is well-balanced.
technical skill: great use of texture/pattern on the elements. Good tracing and good choice of colors (except Sakura's eyes, I don't like that green). Maybe a shade effect on the eyes could be better.
Generally, I like your wall very much... so I'm adding it on my favs!

I am kind of ridiculously in love with this wall. Seriously I almost want to print it and hang it on the wall in a frame. I love how it looks almost like an old magazine add and the lettering is perfect. FAVORITES!
