Lol, when looking at the thumbnail I was like: OMG Someone Just Discovered The Grass Brush!! But luckily the full view is much, much more detailed and sophisticated. Very nice indeed.

One other thing that just popped into my head is that the fireflies are just simple glowing balls. Feels a bit static, while of course you'd expect flies to fly around. I think it'd be more fun if you saw a bit more motion by having a more raindrop-like shaped glow around the flies, pointing in the opposite direction of their flight-path. Just a thought.

I like the theme you chose and the grass looks pretty neat, too. I just wish the fireflies had more motion to them like GA said and that text just doesn't fit there; it would be better (and less distracting) without it. Other than that, nice work!

I love the execution of the bg, not so much the treatment of the scan. Everything in the bg is nice and line. . . less, but then the stock itself is surrounded in black lineart. I think perhaps a lighter colour for the lineart would work better, simply to lessen the harshness of the black in such a warm wall. Your use of the patterns turned out quite nicely though, and I also like that the typography isn't overbearing despite it's size. Nicely done.

First of all, I like how you captured the atmosphere of the movie. Your work is clean, but I expected no less from you. I'm a little sad you didn't go for the red grass from the scan because I believe this would suit the overall image better. Also, it's been said I believe, the fireflies... Make me happy with a v2? :3

This is no exception, it is very LOVELY indeed. I love the subtle textures that you used for the BG. The patterns are FTW too. The only thing that bothers me is the text placement. It's kinda disturbing. Maybe you could make it more subtle and use some other font? Still, it's just my taste though. ^^v LOVE it all the same. <3 <3 <3

Much I loved this movie, you could say it is one of the best anime movies and seen in my life XD, the wallpaper looks fantastic and I write for two, because my mother also loved it.

I think this wallpaper has a lot of potential. The scene you created is so powerful and hold a lot of meaning. Background is absolutely superb, the heavy textures and the painting work wonderful.

It bothers me that the characters are that neat, they don't really fit the background and they stand out way too much. Still if that was your intention, I think that if you had tried to make them blend with the background at least a tad, things would look better. Maybe if you painted them a little bit instead of having colored them in such solid way it would do the trick. Also the umbrella's pattern are too strong. The oppacity might be too high.

Other than that, I really admire this wall. Is a shame you had to drop out of the contest.

Really, really good wallpaper! I definitely prefer the textless version. You obviously put a lot of work into the picture itself, and the words just sort of distract from it.
