Edit: Ok time to comment! Your appearance in the Clash is so awesome and formidable! Haha. I can't believe you can make such a detailed wall in such a time, it's really admirable. The girl looks very cute XD I really liked the purply and blue colors in the initial stages of the wall; I don't know if the deep red is right for the mood/her cute expression. Oh, oh, I thought how it was so cool how her eyes opened in the process pic. It's like... she woke up! XD

I always feel at awe when seeing original stuff. From the thumbnail the city looks amazing. Though I have to say that you´ve made the wall too grungy and dark and it doesn´t show that much. Also, I would have kept the colors and the brightness as it is in the 9th screenshot of your walkthrough. Still, this is greater than what I´ll ever do so I can´t not fav this.

I, as a person who whores grunge and contains half a gallery of the orange/red hue (the other blue...) will admit this is too grungey and red... BUT. ZOMG from scratch... It's pretty.

Anyway nice composition on the buildings. 8D Looks like you placed a lot of effort in making it. Quite a shame how it's not so visible due to the dark tones. Would've been nicer if it was slightly brighter so that the details on the buildings could be shown more clearly. Still love it anyway. < 3

Ahh.. truely awesome wallpaper - especially if one considers the fact that you didn't use any scans in it. The background is of high quality and supports the foreground nicely, while not being too pushy and letting the focus stay on the foreground (where it belongs). The foreground is a bit abstract and one could argue about the perspective - if there's any at all. The perspective doesn't match in itself - and it doesn't match with the background either. However: this is not a problem at all and it adds up to this mystic flair of the wallpaper. I also like the overall mood and coloring of this work and the girls do remind me of some characters I've saw somewhere, but definitely not enough to say that they are from a certain anime (none comes to my mind). It's more of a mix... the background reminds me a bit of texhnolyze for some reason, and the girl to the right reminds me a bit of Lain, while the one on the left reminds me a bit of Freya from Chobits (though a bit more evil due to the lack of her eyes).

Anyway: definitely worth your time and a favorite from me. +fav divStar.

I like the dark colors and the fact that this is all you and your imagination. The girl on the left creeps me out for some reason but it only adds up to the confusion and the sense of lost you described in the description.

I knew right away without even looking that this wall was yours :) Great use of hues -- and the perspective you've added to the piece really add a whole new level of technicality that should be acknowledged. One thing that has always blown me away about your work is the sheer level of creativity that goes into each piece. I've always found myself looking forward to what you have planned next and curious about what you had planned for each WAR round that you were involved in. Maybe it had a lot to do with your beautiful painted style you approach walling with or maybe it had to do with the previously mentioned creativity, the likes of which is rarely seen. All it took is one look at your gallery and I became a rabid fanboy of your work. There was no going back. xD

While I understand that you feel you don't deserve some of the praise that I've given you over the time I've known you, I want you to understand that my words are of complete sincerity and honesty. I say what I do because I truthfully feel such when I gaze upon your work. I state this because I want you see where I'm coming from when I say that I personally feel this is your best wallpaper yet. Why would I say this when you feel more work needs to be done with it? Simply based upon the emotional content alone. The depiction of two characters expression two different emotional states really leaves a lot to interpret for the viewer and that is what I find so inciting about this wallpaper. It can be viewed in so many different aspects and approached from different angles as well and while this can cause confusion sometimes, I find it to be nothing less than brilliant.

The background is.. well, I'm just going to come out and say it. It is sex on a canvas, figuratively speaking of course. I'm not sure where the source of this came from, but it is nothing short of genius. From the gorgeous city setting, to the leaves and birds that seem to be slowly sifting apart as if they were made of ash, to the heavy atmosphere created by your choice of colors. The background alone makes me feel as if I'm in a lucid dream. However, what really blows me away is something I touched a little upon before and that is the city. Not only is the architecture well done, but the entire structure of the city is well crafted and very realistic. The fine details that went into everything around it and even the buildings in the distance alone would of sold me on this wallpaper. I can't express how much I absolutely love this background.

I had to hold myself back from commenting more, mainly because I was starting to ramble and repeat myself. In all my years of commenting, I've really been able to go on and on when I view a certain wallpaper, but not so much as when I viewed this. It's hard to find the proper words and there are so many things to touch upon and some of them I just want to keep talking about too that I'll just say I'm so glad you got involved in AP Clash and leave it at that.
