Finally finished it!! Took me a very long time ^^; Anyways, this is a late B'day gift for yuukine (both moonie & yoru). Hope you two likes it!!!!
I finished painting Luka & Yuki about month ago ^^ And I think I started this one on Oct 2009. And only begin painting around January, after I finished my last Yuki wall. I start with Yuki, and.. kinda stopped. And only begin painting Luka since April/May. But I couldn’t finished it, due to Luka clothes ^^; So, I end up making another wall, which is non-UraBoku. Finished the character in 2-3 days. And it was when I was about to make the background, I found out about Otomate planning on taking legal action towards sites who uses their scans/image illegally on net. And.. the piece I’m working on is Julius from “Wand of Fortune”. So, I decided not to continue with it, coz I didn’t want to get sued by them ^^ But anyways, I finally continue with Luka clothes. And finally got it right after 4th try. At first, I made their wings just like on the original scans. But after failing the 1st versions of the background, I decided to extend them. Which, I regret. I should’ve done them before I start painting ^^; Oh well. It went well, although it does took me few days just redoing their wings. And to be honest, I still dislike their wings. Esp. Yuki’s. I really don’t know how to color his wings ^^; For the background, this is actually the 7th or 8th versions ^^ As usual, I’m suck at making background! Although this one is much simple than I had in minds (with Moonie helping me throwing some ideas), I kinda like it. It’s actually vectored from the stock photo I found on DA. And I hope the mist/fog looks okay. Umm… the overall color look a bit dull, but that was my intention.
Oh well, time to move on! Next will be either one of these: Yuki, LukaYuki, LukaYuki or Yuki

Lovely vector Luka looks <3 On the background, it does seem on the empty side - maybe a full moon or some moonlight but it suits th overall mood of the wall. +

I would've liked a little more detail on the tree, and also where the mist is on the left I still think we should be seeing some of those trees in the background through it. With the mist is, completely blocking it the wall looks empty on that side and makes us think you forgot it. I do like the change you made, using the tree but also making your own touches. The dark tone of the wallpaper is somehow very calming and smooth, I adore the distance in the back. Wonderful job altogether.

i can just say, WE LOVE YOU (kat will comment on mt) so i will do this here then. i love the idea, and i really love the reconstructed wings, and this image is pure love i dont find logical that one piece of the forest is missing near the tree....other than that love+

Wow. Very nice. Yuki's eyes look especially piercing; it's a nice contrast to the subtle background.
