Hiiii!!!! this is my entry for AP Clash immunity challenge 2! since it was old school, why not make a mess with brushes!!!!!yay!!! nothing much to say, i really enjoyed doing this.

Ooh, a Naoto wall.... XD

While I like the background and the colors, I think you could've cleaned the scan of Naoto a bit more, she looks perhaps a bit too grainy....and maybe add more blue tones to her to make her blend in more...nevertheless, this is supposed to be old school and it really didn't matter so much, so overall, it's a very nice wall. Good luck in the competition! :)

Love what you did with the scan, you've reconstructed it and made it your own. The background is perfect for the girl, my interpretation of the scene is she's falling into an abyss of the unknown but she's content so there's nothing to fear. It's a very tranquil wallpaper!

i'm not a huge fan of the color composition, that shade of red is difficult to use without looking tacky, especially when it overpowers the background. although im anti-monochrome, i feel that a more monotonous take on this scan would have helped alot =]

The choice to use strong colors in the background with the character in black and white is always dangerous. Any failure in the composition becomes apparent and striking. But you had success in the idea, is a beautiful wallpaper.

In fact, a mess with the brushes, but who does not like a mess? (XD)

I understand that since it was old school you didn't vector the scan but the difference between the wings and the scan is kinda distracting to me. Aside that, I really like the background, it has a certain movement and that's always something so hard to achieve so kudos for that.

I can't wait to see your other entry >3
