So here I am again submitting a wall for the AP Clash of the Wallers 2010. (XD) I'm so grateful for being a Wildcard in this round.
Anyway, the Round 2 's theme was: Where's Waldo?
If any of you guys know him, then I guess you'd know how our walls would look like. |(n_n)| Personally, I really don't know anything about Waldo----that's why I searched for it.

ABOUT THE WALL:
To be honest, I was planning on submitting this wall as an Immunity Challenge entry for AP Clash----even if I'm not competing during that time. Just for fun. The theme was "Old School" so I instantly thought about "RETRO". I just love comics and all those halftones that they have in it, so I decided to make one myself. (XD)
But since I got a last minute warning as a Wildcard from @flyindreams, I decided to use it as my Elimination Challenge entry instead.
If you're wondering why the colors are simple and all is because I wanted to keep the comic book feel to it. I even looked up to "Archie" as reference for the colors. They don't use too much blendings at all. It's just the base color, then another shade darker than the base for the shadow. Of course, I used halftones as well. <3 The CMYK colors were inspired from @AssasinXXX's works.

About the BG (to the judges): I'm so sorry if I didn't give out the source to where I got it but----I got it like, 5 years ago. I got it from a profile BG and I was attracted to it so I saved it. I really don't know who the author was since there was no signature on it. I kept trying really hard finding for the author but I just had no luck. Again, I'm so sorry for it. Thank you for giving me the link so now, I can properly credit the work. _(._.)_

Ahh I see x). Thanks for clearing that up - I have a folder of stock images myself, so I kinda get where you're going with hard-to-find sources ><.
Wish I'd caught the CMYK earlier - that's an interesting take XD.

Good work on the retro comic book style. I especially liked those panels in the background. I spotted like at least 6 Plues in there. :O Anyway nice work on filling in as a wildcard. ;)

So I presume that the events that lead to that scene with everyone looking at the phone went something like this:
L gets pissed off at Light because he finds out that he ate his last piece of cake (the one he was saving for later). Light, “cunning” as he is, denies it and tries to make Misa the culprit. Misa doesn’t care; she is kinda an airhead after all (if it is for Light, it doesn’t matter).
But L doesn’t really buy it (I wonder why), which later on leads to a fight. But then the phone rings and suddenly everyone stops. Its 11:00 pm, a delivery man with a big box of KFC chicken wings is waiting in the lobby. This eventually leads to:
BBQ... or spicy? (Misa)
To tell you the truth at first I though L was fighting Akira from Higashi no Eden instead of Light, lol. Series crossovers ftw...

Lol @ the title! This is really creative. I never thought Id see this scene in this style but I really love it. I love the little Misa there poking her head up..lol. The colors really pop and flow really well too. +fav!

I have to say this is rather complicated kind of funny. I remember watching this scene, and I though it was funny then. It's even more hilarious now. Glad to see you moving on to the next round. Can't wait to see what you create next. +fav

Great wallpaper, yet again! Great vectoring, great coloring, and a very nice vintage comic look. I am impressed. I am not sure about the yellow panel colors for the bg, but still, this wall is very tight. Nice job!
