Really nice detailed work on the banisters. From looking at it in the thumbnail, I expected to see a stock photo but was pleasantly surprised :3 It also took me a second to realize she was a ghost too (busy looking at the background XD), which instantly changed the feel of the whole scene.

This looks really amazing up close O_O (I actually stayed staring for a while, haha) And I love the quite, haunting feel it has. Very beautiful!

I second the comment of Nat. ^^v At first, I thought you really got a nice image of a Japanese door/window from somewhere but it seems that you've made it. A nice work. Love the vectors. Also the colors. I love the way you blurred the banisters from afar to give it that nice focus on her. Something is bothering me though, although I'm not quite sure if you did it on purpose----why is she kinda transparent?

This wall is full of surprises! Considering the level of details in the background, I too have to second nat that this wall needs to be full viewed in order to fully appreciate it. But now that I did O.O, I can just say 'thumbs up'! And at such a low layer count too, it shows the amount of layers does not always guarantee quality ^^

The interaction of light and shadow creates a very special atmosphere, and the color scheme balances that out superbly. Next surprise: why' is the light showing through? ZOMG she's a ghost! I particularly love a wall like this one, that needs 'exploring' , where what you see at first sight, isn't all you get.

lastly, very clean vector, and my final verdict: this wall is a jewel :3

Hello Wonderful wall. The background is really good designed. I like the darkness of the wall and the reflextion of the light in the background. And you did good work with the girl. I know how hard it is to design such a wall and I must say, I'm not able to do this. Fantastic work and keep it up (fav+)

Nice wallpaper, seeing the scan, I can assume with 100% sureity that you put your best effort into it. The vector is great, however I see a bit of ups and downs near her collar area. Her hair looks perfect and quite wonderful of you to blend it like that. Looks perfect. The perspective of the background is good too, however I believe it would have looked even more awesome if you somehow blurred the far away area in the background making it look even more cooler and better! =)

The only thing that I think strange is her skin, because is more clear than the original scan, but how you wanted make her be a ghost, I understand it. ^^ About the background? OMG. 8)E Just amazing! Really really beautiful, is soo real! <3 Ah, I liked a lot of the detail of the hair and the kimono, making it "desappear". It makes she be more like a ghost!

i think this was a very ambitious project, combining both detailed vectoring and perspective. you did well in creating a ghostly aura with the cold. steely blues and purples. there are just some things that you will probably learn over time but i'll say them anyways =]

1) i think a forced centered perspective would have worked better. it would add to the eerie aura by adding a seemingly endless darkness behind her (rather than the cut off perspective we have now) as well as adding some focus at your center object. i also think because shes facing head on, that the current perspective you chose is a bit awkward

2) geometric shapes need to follow the correct perspective, but be weary of making their edges too "clean" esp for your "painted" style. it isnt difficult to add some cracks and dirt with textures though it takes some time

3) as you make more walls your technique will certainly improve, but for now you should concentrate on not overblurring. when hyou want to paint, you have to paint with multiple colors and hues (at least 3 if not 5). areas between midtones and shadows should be more saturated while shadows should be cooler.

The background is looking very good, the silent water, the detailed engravings on the wood, and the wall looks very nice. The light coming out from the largest window is too bright though. The moon shining in the corner would be a much more suitable source of light. The girl's face is also too bright, and her body looks transparent on the left. Nice wallpaper though.

Nice composition, background suits perfect! About vector, since top of the character have well-defined lines/outlines, I think some more of them will be good on clother, cause there they look kinda blured, maybe to give a ghost effect some overglowing will be better instead of bluring.

Anyway overall is great wallpaper.

The background is simply stunning. The reflections on the wood add a realistic effect. I like the slight color variations in the roof showing it isn't just an empty black space. It adds on to the feeling that you're in a room and not just simply looking at a wall and floor. The ghost's hair feels really shiny and silky the way you did it.

When I full viewed the wallpaper, I feel that you blurred more than you needed to. The upper horizontal wood bar looks sharp but the lower one is blurred. I feel that they should have the same level of blurring since they're parallel. I would have preferred that her clothes not be blurred that much to attract more attention to her. I guess that you blurred her clothes to reinforce that she might be fading out.

Sorry for replying soo late T.T - The background: Is excellent, i love the details of the wood, and the windows are nice, and i think the wall (near the windows) would have been better with a softly rough texture, but anyway it blends good.
