Hooray, another wall finished! I must say off the bat that I am partial to this wall. I don't know that it was the most challenging to make, or the most flawlessly executed, but that wasn't what was I going for in either case. The wall was meant to capture a moment. The original image, from the gallery here at AP, reminds me of my first dog, Hope, a Golden retriever, who passed away after a hard battle with cancer in 2006. So, the wall is pretty personal, and I am pleased with it because it reflects the emotion I was trying to convey: a quiet moment of peace between two souls. It's a tad grungy, a style we don't see all that often around AP anymore, but one that I think still has it's place. The image was vectored, and the side of her hair had to be rebuilt. The rest of the work was done in Photoshop, with lots of blending. Enjoy!

God this is so beautiful :3 Love it really love what you've done to the scan, her eyes just draw you into the wallpaper. Even though its not all colourful buts just so warm.

absolutely wonderful! i am so impressed with the way you shaded (even though there are some parts that are overblurred, these can easily be remedied by adding some darker cellshading against the sharp shadows in her arm), it really shows your understanding of shapes and color. I would say if you run with this style you will certainly create even better works.
i've seen this scan where she was pushed forward so to see her so far back in this is rather unexpected but really amazing since you concentrated on setting up perspective. i cant say enough about how much i love the sense that shes almost fading into the background.

I like it, though Winry's dog's muzzle looks wrong. Reminds me of a platypus beak, tell you the truth. The job you did on Winry was very good.

Fantastic. It's complete even without text or something else. Love it.

Great job on the vector style, it's a nice mix of anime and that painted style the DVD covers seem to have. I think that with the lighting and colors you've chosen too, it really does give a very sentimental feeling, like a portrait.

I feel your loss. I lost a pet a year ago; the result of complications that come from a form of adrenal cancer that ferrets are prone to. However, that is not the appeal of this wall. This wall just has an emotional feel that comes from a personal connection; and that is what you said you wanted to capture. Nice job, and great wall.

I say that the old anime version of the characters were 10 times better than the new ones...That being said, lovely wallpaper. You truly upped the quality of the original image, it almost looks like an old photograph, great work.

Winry came out great first off, but I'm not sure the mood of the wallpaper seems right. But the color tone and positioning seems absolutely perfect to say the least.

The wall has really good tone and atmosphere plus there's a crisp+grunge thing going on which is full of win. It's a good vector too, your technique is cool, I think that if you refine that technique on your next wall into a really unique style. it's a great wall afwells :) looking forward to more. +

This is touching, soft and just beautiful, great vector with even greater blending skills, I haven't been around AP in such a long time but I always remembered I liked the emotion and the softness of all your walls, nice to know somethings don't change, fave~

Truly a very tantalizing yet sorrowful paper. It presents a perfect blend of melancholy and a subtle intimate moment between two souls. I admire the way Wendy is depicted here; she has a gentle and elegant curve that gives her rather austere characteristic a softly feminine grace (also, I'm especially taken back by the flow and texture of her hair, I think it's emphasized quite well, good job).
What calls to mind when I gaze into the dog's eyes is the sense of beauty in decay and destruction (It's a very haunting expression to say the least). This paper delightfully offer's a necessary thought provocation (mine is of the possible hardship that these two had gone through and yet their stature/ demeanor remains unshaken in the paper). It unravels into an open ended free for all where confusion and melancholy rein supreme.
The technical aspect of the paper is no doubt, faultless and it sums up rather well both the work and the execution/technique of the artist creative output. Thank you so much for sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed your work!

I like the texture a lot. Even though this is just a simple picture, but the textures add so much more feel to it. One word, WOW :) Adds to fave

beautiful image, I like the effect of dark edges and lighter towards the center, she looks like a doll, I get the feeling that she is lying there on the floor with your dog resigned, awaiting the return of Ed and AL,besides that texture makes it look as if it were she is waiting so long, will add one of my favorites, good job
