I love the color and background. Very dull and melancholic yet sublimely beautiful, just like they should be. Fits the show and this piece of artwork very well(cant remember the artists name all of a sudden but I like his work.) Good work!

i really love where this wall is going, though (don't kill me) i think it just needs some extra touches to make it feel really finished. the bottom left cloud is well executed, but the top clouds are still a little too rough, esp in the shadows. i am biased, but i really think you should make their faces brighter to draw focus on the three. i know its bright sky, dark ground, almost twilight-esque, but i feel that composition only works when the characters are facing away from the viewer.

aside from those rather minor comments, i really love the way you've drawn inspiration from the scan and created the landscape with a very deliberate decision to add tension and movement. everything is put together really well and the colors are magnificently rural-1800's-European. fantastic!

The background is looking very good, cloudy sky, a setting sun, and flowers on a field somewhere far away from everything. The characters look good as well, they fit to the background. Nice wallpaper.

The original scan is quite a good one, but too light. It was disappointing. You improved the fault and remade it into a marvelous wall-paper! Generally speaking, the color scheme has succeeded. Enhancing the contrast has a good effect on the whole picture, but yet I think the contrast is a little too much strong. Burnt color of the ground makes a grave impression which the original scan does not have. It makes definite the difference between the figure and the background. In comparison with the realistically painted ground in an oil painting manner, the sky is a little too much fantastical in a watercolor touch. It seems a little weird; still they actually make a quite amazing view. I think you should have made more details of it. In the end, what I want to say is that you did a marvelous job, but not perfect. Thank you so much for your efforts. +fav

Ahhh.... I recognise this... The original scan you used was done by Kishida Mel, the guy who did the art and character designs for this series. (He's also done Atelier series for the PS3,PSP and Hanasaku Iroha due Spring 2011) I would say... You've actually done quite well to maintain his art style and not damage it.
