The color scheme of the sky and clouds is really great and I think it was a good idea to add something there, it's more than exceptional. The lighting and shadowing of the background is also awesome. I never got the chance to full view the original scan but I like your vector style especially the coloring technique, I think you've got mad skills for that. Good job, and keep up the great work!

The background is looking very good, the cloudy sky and nice colors make it look nice, though they look a bit too realistic. The characters also look good, they fit to the background well. Nice wallpaper.

I agree that the clouds and the crisp lines clash a bit but the awesome lighting and scene sure makes up for that. I especially like the colors and the mood of the wall - it really gives off that 'humble' vibe. :3

I'm so glad that you went with this bg instead. It goes better with the concept of humility. There's so much that I love about this wall. The style of this is the thing I love most. Love the simplistic value of this wall yet it capture the emotion well. It's not dramatic or overcrowded with unnecessary stuff which will (in my opinion) will actually ruin the whole feel you already capture in this wall. You got great vectoring skills, one that I hope to achieve one day.

The background fits well with the characters however realistic it may look. I think the fact that background looks 'too realistic' is a high point, not a flaw... Very well done...!
