Yuu Shiina Regret, Resolution...Redemption?

I have to say that I am really impressed with your description more than anything, I love the way you explained the reason that you made this wallpaper, maybe I know things more than others so this will make me impressed more and more! I am really glad to see this wallpaper, specially that you made it perfectly, I love the new form of wings and the sad atmosphere of this wallpaper! This will be definitively my desktop for a long time! Just wait until I fix my PC :'(

Finally again a worthy wallpaper in the recent works. Guess you know that I love almost everything done by you and this one will be no exception. The wings and the harmony of dark-bright is done extreme well. What I would mention is a bit difference in the style btw the hair and the rest. Love the way you painted her dress, especially when it comes to light reflections from the bottom. The whole wall has that dark look, but the light adds a nice touch to the symbolism of hope. The feathers of wings look a bit odd (it's like there's too much of them jumbled together) and I think the hair also needs more details or differently added details (the added strands make the hair look like she's missing it in certain places) but overall, this is a very nice wall.

And darn, I had my eye on that scan, too. XD

Just had to give up lurking to comment on this, it's too good to pass :D First of all, the description was very helpful and I like that you took your time to explain what motivated you. I like to read descriptions and I'm glad you wrote a proper one.

Secondly, I love how you did the wings. I don't know, there's something different about the way they're painted, that makes them stand out from the other types of wings out there. Maybe it's the detail? They do look more realistic thanks to the details, and I have to hand it to you, you are something to be able to work on so many feathers without going insane :)

Also, I love the clothes and how you made them look flowing and soft, yet somewhat watery as well - I can't quite place my finger on it, but they give me the sensation that they're some kind of second skin (that's how I picture it anyway). And not to mention the hair, I'm a sucker for detailed hair.

What more can I say? I think I sounded like a n00b with all the praise, but I really love this wallpaper and couldn't help it :) Great job, you've really outdone yourself with this one! *claps*

I always love walls that have thought and emotion put into it. Makes the result very powerful, especially when it's so rich and detailed as this wall. Very beautiful!

Unfortunately I don't really like the pose -but that's a personal thing- nor the fact that the wings doesn't seem to be logically attached to her body. Still, it looks absolutely fantastic, so who am I to complain?

I'd prefer it with the original reflection (I have a thing for surreal reflections, yeah) but that's just a matter of taste. Once again, you really could blow away everyone when you submit, channel. I like your interpretation of the wall and it fits quite nicely. But, what I really like is the technicality of it all. Once again, the way you manipulated lighting and shadowing is magnificent. She appears to be so desperate for the light. And the wings... I cannot begin to describe.

A new wall from you. :D Smooth and clean like always. Nice description too. :) Since I'm a birder, the way the feathers are layered are too mechanical and not quite believable (a bit too straight and lacking some key layers) - referencing how feathers naturally grow on wings would be very helpful, like this, and then applying that to bat wings would have been a better approach.

I really don't have words to say how I feel when I see it. Just amazing! 8)E On the first look, I said "Wow.". After read the description, I just fell everything that you tried to show with the wall. Your feeelings, the scene, everything made me think that your wall is perfect. I love when people made walls showing their feelings, and you made it very well. ^^ The wings, just wow! I'm so massively impressed not only by your skill and dedication but the fact that you used your, obviously quite dark, emotions to fuel your artistic side in order to vreate this. The background is looking very good, the darkness around the character's wings and the yellow lights look nice, though the floor she's lying on could be a little darker to fit to the other parts more. The character is looking good, she fits to the background well. Nice wallpaper.

I love the details in this, and the colouring, very smooth and clean. The only thing I'd say is that the feathers don't really looked layered/natural, they look more clumped together. But still, you did an amazing job on them - on it all! I also love how you described the meaning behind it all.
