Angel Beats! Marching On!

It's an interesting wall.

The aspect that stands out the most to me is the color of the background. It seems to be somewhere between maroon and magenta. I'll just call it raspberry :D~. I really like how the background is really messy but neat at the same time. Vector art provides clean, crisp, and smoothness to the background. While the texture gets rid of the boring solid color of the shapes. My favorite part is the gun shooting bullets and a flame.

Only thing I can comment on is that the wall of text in the bottom half doesn't really appeal to me. I think if it had more variation or less space between the letters it would look cooler.

I don't what it is but I fell like there's something missing in our wall----I'm not quite sure what it is. LOL. Vector is done neatly, colors are great. Well, the typography could still be played and improve on. Nice job you guys. ^^v

personally, i like the bg and the typography... its really amazing... the vector is also a good job, for some reason the typography reminded me of a DJ... and a common mp3 player design... haha

I like it, but there's something about the background that bugs me, and I'm not sure what it is. @_@ I do love that scan you used, though.

Didn't realize Angel Beats was under appreciated, I thought it was a pretty good series. Maybe there aren't that many scans suited for walling in the gallery for many of those series from the list thats why they aren't getting walled? Anyways, nice collab. The texture over the character kind of bothers me, it makes her look dirty. I know you did that for blending purpose, but I think it would look better without it.

vector work is excellent to say the least, great work on that the rest I'm afraid fails to follow that through there are certainly some great elements and ideas in use but i think it could have been structured in a better way.

love the bullet holes and the text bullets saying marching on also the text used in the middle with a slight drop shadow is great so is the grungy texts to the right, but they don't seem to compliment each other properly seems a bit random i think if you guys stuck with one idea and refined that instead of adding a lot of things in it would have resulted in a better outcome the text bubble is also a little distracting and seems out of place

Really nice ideas, beautiful vector i know you both have the skills to create excellent works and have so already but this ones just a little crowded

Hi! i like the colour of the bg, it's very rich. i like how the typo is arranged! idea with bullets and fire are great! the only thing i'm not very fond of is cloud with smiley, 'cos it draws attention away frow the girl's face, but it's only my opinion though. +fav :)

WHile I really like the concept, not to mention you used the lyrics from one of my fav songs of this moment ^^, I still feel like there's something missing. I can't wuite point it out, but the background doesn't feel as harmonious as it should be.

Oh man i typed something long, and the internet went all ghey and did'nt load it. So i'm typing this again, but shorter coz i be lazy. xD

I think the background is pretty well done with the design. I like the gun shooting and the bullet marks all over. You did that nicely. The design with the text looks good too. Just wish you used more colors to make it stand out more. Also, i think that big block of text behind her which says "marchin' on" should be in a different color. The current pink color makes it kinda fade into the background because it's of a similar color with the bg. Maybe a shade of purple similar to her hair color would be good. Just try out some other colors. Otherwise, you guys did a pretty good job on it. :)

Oh randomness (9+_+) <3 neat vector, good blending with bg, good job, anyway I am not sure about top left corner, I think it needs to be closer to center, 'cause of its color it devotes attention from character.

since you asked me to critique. assa and misao, hit on a few of the things i noticed that could use improvement. it's a little to random, chaos is ok, random seldom is. the text bubble is distracting too.

i think the something people keep noticing as missing, is not a color, or object, but rather cohesiveness. you have a lot of great elements, but they don't really come together as one wall. one way you could try to make it all work is to make the elements more 3D. but 3D walls like this can get tricky.

here's what i noticed that's really keeping this wall from it's potential. the color scheme is a little too narrow. the text and main bg color are so close together, there's hardly any contrast between them. that makes the wandering eye get bored really quick. if you have PS CS4 or later, use the kuler extension, can be found in the view menu, to find great complementary and tertiary colors. use them throughout the wall to liven things up a bit.

you added some, faux 3D, cliche things that aren't working as they are. that being the bullet holes and the rip. they're just too generic, and don't suit a wall. i'm not saying remove them, they're a great idea, but you need to rework them so they fit the wall better. find some image that's not busy to put behind them, instead of the black. either, make them really look like a hole in the image, by adjusting what's around them, or make them flat, so they fit with the rest of the 2D stuff.

for the text, that assa said needs work, the bottom half. i think if you stretched and/ or squeezed the words into the letters, instead of cutting them off, it'd add a lot to that part of it, and maybe make the smaller font at the top of that part, loo like it's behind the large red letters. then the dots should be above everything else, even the tear.

problem is, it's several layers meant to look like one, but that's not appealing. for walls like this you need to embrace the fact that there are layers, and get super creative in working them together.

the thumbnail to this looks good, which means it has a decent composition, and good color scheme. but you can expand on those and make this wall great.

oh yeah, your composition might improve a bit if you bump the character to the right just a little.

final note: i got a tablet pc. i love it, and am likely to use it a lot. this means i may actually wall. that being the case, should it come to fruition, i'll join the under appreciated category cause.

nice wall there..... I find the composition quite interesting and the typo-graphy is neat and nice but i got alil problem with character positioning and color comob used in this. When I look at this wall its like yuripe is too centered . I think the overall look of wall would improve if you moved her to the right side a bit more . next is the the blendning of yuripe with BG . yuripe stands out too much or thats what I see. maby due the amount of birght colors in her clothes and darker colors of BG . though there is also white in BG but it fills like its overwhelmed by the whole red color. maby customizing yuripe clothes' colors would help like changing the uniform color to a combination of black and red with black scarf. though even after that i still think she is kinda looks too part from BG .if the line art around her body was abit thinner (specially her feet) it would help the blending quite abit .

other than the points mentioned I like the rest quite abit and feels nice too see more Angel Beats walls as its one of my all time favorites.

That's a background color not often used in a wallie. It's really nice! And the vector is great. I like it a lot :D

i like it. but the background is a bit too busy, the character doesn't stand out. Try fading the background a bit or even fading around the main characters. You could also add a glow. There are many different ways to work with this wall, I would try some different things, but not too many because then you'll have a bunch that you like. Just remember that it is a wall and people want to see the main character. The background is exactly that...a background.

Really good job, this is a really good idea and it works But if i could make one critique i would say that the effect to make it look older doesn't really work for me. Maybe if it looks older, it will works better or if you just remove it and make it modern. It's just my opinion and the idea is really good and well achieved ^^

She is always pretty and active. Arts in the background may be drawing her serious and complicate heart behind her confidence.

i love the colors and the concept is great. but i do feel that the wall carries a little too much grain. and the there is too much happening. other than that it is not a bad wall. maybe you can remove some the more unwanted themes form the background. and make the red seem a little lighter.

I love the effects behind, quite clumsy but very interesting... Besides, I like red color

Oh my god she look sooooooo adorble that I want to just ounch her cheeks and she look soooo fasty in this wallpaper with a gun in her hand pointing at the someone on the floor or pointing it somewhere and I like the background colour red with some writing on it and she look sooooo cute with her school uniform.
