Saiyuki Pain and Rage

Wow it looks like you've put a lot of effort into this or, your skills have improved so much to the point where you can produce this quality of work effortlessly, either way it's really impressive! The vector is super detailed and the dark themed atmosphere and depth of the wallpaper is very intriguing. I love the setup of the wallpaper and the intensity of character's gaze, heck even the pearls are alluring and rain against the window looks surreal. Wonderful work Cilou, and thanks for sharing it!

This looks pretty cool ALTHOUGH there are some parts that just didn't work out so well like:

-The shadowing/highlights on his arm and hand is too recognizable. It's as if it was just put on top of the other. -I know that you were aiming for a 3D look in the beads but it kinda just pops out at ya.

Being a fan of this series, I find it pretty weird that he's not staring out the window (as is his motif during rainy nights). I want to like this, I really do :(

But his colors are actually a little too grey and the shading on his skin looks like an image that lost it's quality by a thousand times.

Background is flawless, envy you to that regard.

Yay for another Saiyuki wall but personally I just dont like how dark it is. Im not a fan of dark walls and it might just be me though. I like the red popping out and the vector is great I just think you could have set the mood better by not just making the whole wall itself dark.

wow! its Sanzo from Saiyuki you're right.. his character is the type that hates the rain... I wouldn't blame you if the hair vectoring took long... nice bg, nice details... though the shading is a bit too gray, too dark, and makes the light shades look a bit weird... I love how the beads stand out in the wall to symbolize his pain and rage, but the 3d effect made it stand out too much and somehow doesn't fit with the vector atmosphere

but since I'm a Saiyuki fan, hooray for the details :) ...and I <3 Sanzo :))

Is a nice try, but it should be a way brighter. The darkness is on some place too strong, that it makes almost unrecognizable certain parts. Butt like how the vector turned out, is really detailed.

The tricky thing about dark walls is that black tends to look very crappy and low quality in places which is also the case here.

I don't really mind the darkness that much but those rain drops on the glass look way too straight and flat, they look more like lines of broken glass. And the way you shaded Sanzo's shoulder look like you did it with MS Paint...try using more layers of shadows/highlights or colors that are less apart from each other.

I really like this dark wall and the idea of pearls-blood.
