Splendid wallpaper!

I find it interesting to see you pick a scan from Yone Kazuki.

Mainly because it is sort of opposite of your walling style. Most of the walls I see from you are limited to simple old school 1 base, 1 shadow, 1-2 highlight shape layers. Along with simple gradients to light/shade things together. Yone's style is more gradient oriented since she likes to blend things together very well. So it is interesting to see how you tackled the scan.

Instead of completely mimicing her style, you just shaded it in your own style. While I like the use of multiple gradients to blend shapes, I really like this wall. This may be the most attractive wall from you I have seen recently. I like how you did the hair strands and retained their curves. The background and characters blend well together and suit each other. Details on the lantern makes it really attractive and it seems to be just the right size for the wall. Cherry blossoms in the far background is a nice touch. Having one tree making a silhouette and one being visible adds more to the wall. It's also pretty balanced with the placing of the trees and moon.

I would have liked to see the roof part of the lantern blend together better. The base could have been a bit darker to help blend in with the shadowing. Or you can make the shadows on it lighter. Walls you produce always have a color scheme signature which makes the whole wall seem like a photo with your brown colors. Adding a warm yellow/orange light radiating from the lantern would have made the wall more intimate. The girl's hair should have brighter highlights since her head is right next to the lantern.

I think you've done a superb job in capturing and providing the perfect mood for these characters and I simply love your revision of the scan. The background complements both the anime and era/characters quite well and I prefer it much more than the original. Vector is faultless with admirable colors. Your growth is astonishing, please keep it up.

Damn Chizuru è_é Anyway, glad to see something different from you, the scan you chose is really sweet. Love the scenery and the mood there and you did a great job with the vector and the background. I hope that you'll continue to use different characters and sceneries in your wallpapers, because you really are skilled and it will become kinda boring if you're always using the same series and backgrounds.

Wow. 8)E You don't know how I loved this version more of the MT version. When I saw it I had a surprise, because the atmosphere and the bg of this is so much better than the other. You know how to use well the pretty image that you vectored, making this poetic wall. The night combining with the sakura's tree and the japan house is a nice thing to see, and the lighting made it be more special yet. For me, is one of your best walls until now. ^^

I saw The MT version first before I come here. And I am really surprise when i saw this wall at the 1st sight, stunning ❤o❤ U have a lot of wall with this background style, but I think this one are the BEST MATCH of all. I agree with u Stereoman, Cilou really a wallpaper machine XD When I 1st know her, she still beginner here, around 15 wallies. now already 162 ><

oh my, this is really a very sweet moment! |(VcV)| you chose a great scan to work with, and i like how the wallpaper turned out. the background works well with the picture, and i really like that lamp. :) even though i think the color scheme of the whole wallpaper is consistent and coordinated, i must say that i don't dislike the color scheme in the original scan at all. maybe you wanted to have more of a forbidden love kind of feeling to this wallpaper, so you chose a cooler, more melancholic color scheme, but i think it'd probably be nice if you did another version that used the original brighter and more colorful color scheme too. but all in all, this is a really sweet and romantic wallpaper. good job :)

It's a really great scan. Kazama isn't my favourite guy in Hakuouki but I most admit that he knows how to create a memorable kiss hehe. Love the background and the half-light effect. Very good work!
