Hmm the image quality doesn't look any different to me. Maybe its just your computer? Anyways great job Mika! The image is really kawaii. I'm not so fond of the whole grungy look though...

The reasons it's lower quality is because the file size is too large - for a 1024*768 res wall, over 600kb is huge. When saving your walls you should use "save for web" and set the quality to about 70%. That will produce a reasonably sized file that has little to no artifacting.

I would suggest resaving your file at a more rerasonable size and then use the "Edit" button (hver your cursor over the user options button on this page) to re-upload the smaller version.
