Saiyuki shades of purple

THE ORIGINAL CONCEPT:

For the commemoration of Spirit Day, our school held an activity to us students to go and make a wallpaper (anything) that is Spirit Day-themed and most specially... purple. Though, its was only for us fourth years/seniors.

I had a group consisting of three members (that was the rule) and we we're (from 12:30 a.m. to 7:10 p.m. - our class schedule) inside the computer room all day. OUCH FOR EYES!!!!! It was quite fun since most of us (instead of doing the wallpaper) went Facebook and Twitter mode! Haha... I actually harvested my corns in FarmVille before doing this.

"Fruitcake" was the one who searched for the image (we saw a good pic of Goku via Facebook and searched for a bigger version), textures (she renamed the textures so I can't credit but she said they were from deviantArt) and planned the outcome of the wallpaper. My "crush" was the one who made the interpretations and symbolism. While I took the job of editing effects and a few changes.

Since my "crush" made the interpretations (it was supposed to be me, but he said I should take a rest from staring at the computer for too long, he even treated me some snacks - he's making me fall for him more ♥), I can't fully describe this wallpaper. All I remember is that the blood splatters were to represent lost lives and violence. Flowers represent a new bloom of humanity - I believe it was about being equal. The purple-theme color was to represent sympathy, wisdom and more. Goku's pose and expression had a meaning and even the position of the blood splatters.

I'll get that interpretation paper someday, I promise... Or maybe I should just ask him? ♥♥♥

Hey! I really like the concept of your wallpaper! It is an entry for a contest in DA? 'Cause there's this "Show Your Purple" thing in DA. |(n_n)| Anyway, based from what I have read in your description, I want to help. Is it OK with you? By help, I mean collaboration. I'll do something to it too (that is, if the deadline for the submission is still far away). The concept made by your group is really amazing. I think it will go far. There's nothing wrong with the extraction but I think it's kinda grainy and all right now. So the best thing to do is to play with the strength of the scan that you have extracted. I think a grungy/splattered/textured BG would be really nice for this one. Although the BG that you did is kinda messy for me. But the thought is there. So, what say you? (XD) I'll help you with this AP submission. ^^v

Unfortunately, it was just a stupid school activity -_-

It was really fun and creative working with @josephine12cute. Her concept (together with the help and cooperation of her teammates') and vision for this wall is really deep and great. JOSEPHINE12CUTE'S THOUGHTS:

I was quite pressured when Kuya JD offered a collaboration with me. I mean, I am just a PS newbie (I started using PS this April) and I mostly depend on online tutorials. Then when I submitted "shades" of purple" here in AP, I just wanted to improve and make a new revision. He was interested to our concept. Kuya JD is far more experienced than I am... why me?????

But since he offered, I can't reject this! Its such a shame not to accept his help. It was fun and at the same time, I learned to be resourceful. I learned new techniques and thanks to Kuya JD.

He made the overall visualization (his own interpretation of our concept) while I provided my crappy Goku extraction and worked on the "finishing tats". Haha! I hope you guys will like our joint efforts.

I want to celebrate by treating everyone some burger. But I have to save money for our dance costume (for a project). I'll treat everyone next time!! ♥
