I like the muted colours of the original version... might just be a cleaned up scan at the heart of it but it makes a nice wall.

Every now and then there's always that scan out there that is just perfect for a wallpaper. Though, it doesn't require much work, it always looks so very good when it's done. This would be one of those walls.

Honestly, the blurriness is probably one of my favorite parts. It gives it sorta a hazy feeling to it, and I absolutely adore that. I also agree with your option to remove the other girl. She would of completely ruined the seductive mood that this wall has to it and just wouldn't of been the same. What you did vector, you did a great job with. My only complaint would of been to of kept the blush. I feel it would of helped the mood just a bit more, but in reality it isn't anything significant.

for a senior member this is not an amazing wallpaper, you just fixed the other half of the wallpaper and the moon and the sky are completely blurred, not something i like, oh well what can i say ur work is loved by others so it doesnt quite matter what i say.

Sure, some people may say this wall is simple, but for me, it's not about that. For me, function always comes before form, and this wall's function is to portray an emotion, which this wall does, especially in the muted version. To me, it looks great. Just because it didn't take several hours and a bunch of brushes, filters, etc, doesn't mean it's bad.

I like your work, and I'll expect more good stuff.

I like the hazy look to the wall, but I like your cleaner versions too. I wouldn't worry about thinking you didn't do too much; at least you made the vector and cleaned it up; some people don't even do that! Haha. And it looks perfect the way it is. Although you may have changed up the background a bit more - I like it anyway.

The angle is what makes this wallpaper a special one. Colours... well they might be better but the bright moon slightly-out-of-the-centre gives that overall chilly impression...

I really like the mood which the wall reflects. The vector work is nearly perfect like always. I really like the background and the sky/moon. It reflects the feelings of this wall and the mood. The colors are nice and merge good with the hole scenery. Getting rid of the other girl was a very good idea. She might have disturbed the hole feeling. I can't get why some say this is to simple. I know that vectoring can be very hard and to make a nice tone in tone wall which reflects a special mood is even much harder.

I must thank your for the other version. They are a nice add and to be true I like the alternate version a little more as the original. *might be because I'm a blue color lover*

Well, the removal of the other character was done very well if you ask me. The colours of the original version are more... "Atmospheric" if you know what I mean. While the alternative versions' colours are prettier. The only real fault is that it looks quite "dirty".. but the rest is good.

I love the wallpaper, and I love the series, the original image is great and the work in the wallpaper is amazing, very clean, textures are also excellent, good work with the different version of aspect ratio, I go use this wallpaper as my wallpaper in my desktop, and add to my favorites of course!!!

Maybe I'm just biased in favor of widescreen walls (since I have a widescreen...), but I like the simplicity on the right side of the wallpaper. It's nice to see high quality wallpapers that don't feel overcrowded and busy, and it fits the mood of the image better this way. It may be pretty much a cleaned-up scan, but it fits beautifully on the desktop now ^_^

Your style is a great addition to this version compared with the alternate. I like the use of blurs and the tone of color, it seems to make the wall look more like an authentic painting to me. In other words, keep doing the same stuff 'cause it's awesome!

The scan you used was a good one, I've used it as a background before. I, too, liked that you took out the other girl, her emotion didn't fit into it. Unless the other girl was showing an emotion to copy what she was doing. Even the places where you shaded it was good, usually the sky isn't a light color when its night time outside ^^.

[The producers of the City Hunter anime decided that, in order to make the show more palatable for female viewers, Ryo had to be punished for each of his lecherous moments. According to them, the show actually scored amazingly high with women.] City Hunter's bland look can be partly blamed on its format. Anime-based games made the most of the PC Engine/TurboGrafx's CD attachment, using the then-revolutionary disc technology to pack in all sorts of video clips and voice acting. But City Hunter isn't a CD game; it's a HuCard, or a TurboChip, as the U.S. console's marketers sometimes called it. Barely larger than a credit card, the HuCard was a novel way to store games, but it was still just a cartridge, and it allowed little in the way of flashy footage or long audio clips. Still, that doesn't really excuse the soundtrack. There's a vaguely fitting beat in each level, yet none of the tracks comes close to City Hunter's “Get Wild” ending theme, which I'd dare to submit as the catchiest, most marvelously hokey anime single of the 1980s. The music here isn't terrible, but it's a low for Sunsoft, a developer that put some downright amazing tunes in NES games like Batman, Gremlins 2, and Journey to Silius.

I doubt that Sunsoft ever considered City Hunter for the North American market. Nintendo's strict licensing policies often discouraged third-party publishers from bringing PC Engine games to the American TurboGrafx in 1990, and City Hunter would've been passed over anyway in favor of Sunsoft's Batman PC Engine game. Batman was a dull title full of mazes, but it had a license that was huge in the U.S. It also had better music.

City Hunter would've been better as a CD-based game, though being a humble HuCard makes it just a bit more notable today. The PC Engine's best games were on CDs, with the HuCard library remaining largely mediocre and under-realized. In a catalog like that, City Hunter stands out by reaching above-average territory, just as its namesake stands out for being slightly more fun than other disposable 20-year-old action anime series. Besides, it's hard to completely discard a City Hunter game that credits "sexy gals" and shows super-deformed Ryo and Kaori window-washing the screen whenever you pause it.

A City Hunter HuCard will run about $20, though some people apparently think a used copy with the box and manual is worth more than a fresh Fallout 3. It's not. If you seek out this or any other Japanese PC Engine titles, bear in mind that they'll need a pass-through adapter to work on an American system.
