Another wall, this time of Black Rock Shooter.
I wanted to do one of her(and hopefully Dead Master next) as I love the designs. The background came about pretty much randomly, I was going to do something more simplistic but ended up with this.
The water was done with a few simple filters and I think it turned out nicely. I added the checker bored pattern because I felt it added a little something to it, and they are commonly featured throughout the BRS art.
Flame for the eye was done with the pen tool some glow and a few blur effects. The rain is a brush.
I wanted to add some building rubble in the background to give a bit more to look at but could not figure out how to make some for the life of me.
Lastly, if there are any glaring flaws I probably haven't noticed them as my monitor is dark as hell apparently, I've checked it on another monitor and hopefully got rid of any.

The wallpaper is not bad indeed. I like its darkened feeling. However: the rain/storm sort of doesn't work out properly in my opinion - the water drops are just too regular.. I not convinced that this is what they should look like. If you could make them somehow more irregular, it'd certainly improve the quality of this wallpaper.
Other than that though it's a nice wallpaper that I'll add to my collection :). Thank you for sharing.

I like it but I definitely think her hair should've been sharper because it looks weird with her sharpness.

nice wall, but just a bit too dark for me. dark is a style, and it does work well, but i think it was just a little too much of it, maybe a tad brighter would do it some good.

the depth of the character was not so impressive and i'm not liking the chessboard floor, a plain dark ground might be nicer but that's just me

As mentioned before, a storm, rain, whatever you want to call it, is out of context in the style of the character and climate. Combine something a bit darker and even to illuminate the background to the style of BRS other images.
It could also include more details related to the style of clothing and weapons of the Black Rock Shooter. Also having the base where it is deposited. So give a little to modify this theme that is vague in some points for something better.

The rain effect isn't working too well with this paper. But I think it was of looked nice without that effect.
