This is the first collab wallpaper submitted out of the 3 collabs I have and I must say this is an enjoyable experience.
After I did my Kaichou wa Maid-sama wallpaper, I already thought of making a Halloween wall but I have a VK collab and another wallpaper keeping me busy. So I gave up the idea of making a Halloween wall but I looked for scans just in case. Then Yago suddenly suggested making a Halloween collab and I thought "This is my chance to make a Halloween wall so why not?". And so our collab began.
Deadline was on 30 or 31st and we started the idea of a collab on the 23rd of October. I showed Yago 3 scans that I have for the season and We later choose Katoku's Haruhi Suzumiya scan. Since there's only one week allotted we planned on how to go about the wall fast. Yago, thought of doing the characters individually, wherein we choose on what to work on then later just combine them, but our styles are different so we decided to split it in a manner that Yago does the lineart and the base colors while I do the shadows and lighting and the BG.
Funny thing in here is that we didn't wait for each other. We did everything at the same time. Yago sent me the positioning of the scan so that I can already work on the BG as well as the shadows and lighting on the characters so that by the time he sent me the .psd file containing the lineart, I'll just overlay the colorings and BG that I made. I say this wasn't an easy task. I had to bear with minimal lineart and unsured colors of the scan. I changed the ESP's costume ( I forgot his name, the one at the back of Mikuru) to a card because I don't know what he is wearing at the scan and made a cartoonish BG
I was struck with fever for the past 2 days and I was worried if I'll be able to finish the wall once it was sent to me, and I did! phew! Timestamp: October 30th 2010/ 5:35 pm ( my time). Supposedly, this should be submitted later that night. I was waiting for the internet the whole evening but it seems like there's no connection T.T so sorry that I only get to submit this now....

This collab was really fun to make, and how we started almost a week before Halloween, we thought that we wouldn't make in time, but we did xD But it was really nice to work with Ashile, because she's awesome and choose colors way better than me xD So there it is our Halloween collab, and a few notes, I think Kyon is with a dog costume... (ROFL), we took off haruhi's ear because she looked like a mouse, and as Ashile asked, the Espers is Koizumi and he was with a tombstone costume pretty weird). And how we were out of time, I didn't even see the finishing, so I have to say that the painting is awesome, and that hunted house on the bg is a nice touch xD SO hope you guys like it :D

wow you two, you sure pulled a fast one ^^. Tight schedules are though, not to mention mind-wrecking! I like how rendered the scan using both of your techniques, it brings out your individual specialties (although you're also good at lineart Ash -, don't get me wrong here ^^) props for the background, it's much better than in the original in my opinion.

Nice wallpaper - I think this might be the true nature of Haruhi (you must know: I hate her a lot). The wallpaper works out great and I like the shadings as well as the lineart, even though both are a bit too regular for my taste.
Nevertheless: +fav for your efforts. Nice collab on a tight schedule. Thank you for sharing.

Great take on a scan of Haruhi!
This work showcases the skills between two great wallers here in AP. Yago's line art and srsng's painting... it's just great. And, I must say that the timing of the release of this wall is impeccable. Just appropriate for Halloween.

Love the bold outlines and coloring on Haruhi, very dramatic image choice :D Could've used some of that fog like in the original scan though! It would have made the background characters look more like they're in the background. Nice work! :D

Haha, it looks very fun! xD I liked of it a lot, specially because of the combination of the skill of yours. You both are awesome wallers, and is nice see something from you! :3 About the wall, very well done! You worked well the scan, making the colors again (the original is soooo clear! u.Ú) and vectoring and painting it. And the bg, OMG! Well, that one is really nice done but I don't like it so much like the other halloween wall I was recently commenting.
The vectoring is nice done, the scene is ok. Colors are also really nice.
It's a good wallpaper and I will add it to my favs but to be true it doesn't give me a special feeling.
