Today's my entrance examination! Woot! Woot! Good luck to me!!!!

After one week of doing nothing but stuDYING, take note of that, I decided to make a wallpaper so I can feel a bit relaxed and won't get crazy after reviewing trigonometry, statistics, calculus, etc... :O

Except for the extraction (I'll make it available next time I guess), I decided to try out a new style by making a BG of my own: a sky! I focused on the BG itself hoping it would contribute to the overall atmosphere of this scan. And I played with the extraction to avoid getting its grainy things show up.

I guess I failed since the clouds (I made the Bg not much detailed or with too much clouds) since the extraction itself is covering them. I decided to set it in 1280 x 960 since I don't want to enlarge the scan and I can't vector yet :P

I would like to seek suggestions on how to improve scenic wallpapers. ^^

This is your best work so far! Nice text placement! Rotation of belldandy with the position of the sky looks very dynamic. I would say spend more time on cleaning the scan (perhaps using smart blur to filter the graininess) it could help a bit!

Yes! I agree with @Bantam too! This has got to be one of your bests so far. The way you rotated it gives it more impact and visual effect on the user. The jet and the bright sun is really lovely too. Although there is a part on the upper left of the wall where a cloud seems to have a cut lining. Maybe, you could fix it by using the healing brush. The text is lovely too. Your signature could be smaller than it is right now. LOL. Anyway, this is very lovely indeed.

Just browsed through your work and I agree with the others, this is your best one so far :)

Anyway, nice placing of the text and character. But, you need to master more on the cleaning of your scan. Usually, I will duplicate and modify the layers' properties as well as make use of brushes and textures. You can also google for tutorials and learn from them. The sun and flying plane are ok...and i don't have much to say about the BG design.

You need to experiment and try on stuff in order to improve your skill. In fact, AP is a good place to learn ( I did learn my walling here XD)

Even if placing is good and font as well, I don't think it's a very good wallpaper, due it lacking the visual quality. I don't want to sound strict, but here on AP, I'm used to something much better. In my opinion is not even ready for the 1280x960, so I would thgow in some extra time, and gasp at least the basic of vectoring techniques, which could help to clean the important parts of it.

The concept is really good and fresh! One thing: you could improve the quality of your scan (vector), it would be better and awesome!

i think this one is nice.. the placing of the font & your signature is okay~

I suggest using some textures and stock photos, for the background you can get textures from deviantart.net or google and try playing with the modes.. for the stock photo.. try www.sxc.hu they have tons of free images there..

anyways, goodluck to your entrance exam, thanks for the badge and keep it up!

I agree with @Cilou and @akiranyoit really would be better with vectoring or base cleaning the scan Still it has good potential.

I love it,the wallpaper is really beautiful,the wallpaper is done so well,the background is amazing and so are the words you used,definitely in my first top favorite 3 ah my goddess wallpapers I have ever seen,good job and keep it up,I'm looking forward to your other wallpaper:)

Nice idea with the colors .excellent work, I love the colors and designs that are dark, a good shade of gray .Aweeeesum!! my favie colors .. more than brilliant..like said before, LOVE the colours and effects...nice wallpaper 。Love this pic! Beautiful!! I agree with Bantam this is one of the best walls you've done. This would have been perfect is she was vectored or a higher quality scan was used. Nice work though! +fav!
