Wow, it has been a while! First wallpaper of mine to be featured under Animepaper's new layout, that's pretty cool :P I've been working on this one on and off for several months now, mostly trying to make the vector look as good as possible. It was a tricky scan to do, because of the pastel colors and the way everything kind of blended into everything else, but I had fun with it! Background is just a cracked up wall, kind of depressing but I think it makes Allen and Kanda stand out even more. I love Kanda's jacket, if anyone ever sees it in a store drop me a line...thanks for looking, please enjoy!

Aww.
You should have went ALL THE WAY! BALLS TO THE WALL. I remember I saw the original scan a long time ago and always wanted to do it but never have.
The vector is decent. It still needs gradients to make their clothes feel smooth like cloth. The background is way too plain. You could have expanded a lot more with the cracks. Such as making some big and showing a bit of inside the crack to make it 3D. Some of the cracks would crease out a bit and catch the overhead lighting. Adding more depth and realism to your wall. I know backgrounds suck because I friggin' hate doing them.
I'll still give you a pat on the back for trying to tackle a hard scan. :D

The background just seems very odd when faced with these colorful, lively characters since it seems just so flat

Vectoring's pretty clean and crisp! I agree with @Tens about making some gradients to make their clothes look smooth and all. Or maybe you can play with the opacity of the colors to make them blend well with each other. As for the BG, making a graffiti art would suit their ghetto (?) outfits. Adding also some texture to the cracked wall would make it nicer too. ^^v

its not bad at all, vector is really awesome and i love that you made it so well....the only thing i do mind is plain monochrome background...maybe if it was some other color, or if you added all those graffits and such it would be even better. but still i love it and i waited for someone to wall it. not a bad wall at all <3+

Characters aren’t casting shadows… and if they are, I can hardly see them. Because of this, the characters in relation to the background look odd (as they were floating or something).
The background could definitely use textures and other elements (besides the cracks) to make it look more like an alley (ex: cans, graffiti, etc)… and less dull looking.
Keep it up.

haha, very cool poses of Kanda and Allen.. love it! True true, the wall may be dull, but it suits the whole effect.. too many background colors will not make Allen and Kanda stand out.. it's pretty cool overall.. nice job, swordofhiei!!
