I was reading this manga called MajinTantei Nougami so i decided to do a wallpaper for it :) It is a good manga that lies in the detective mystery genre and that what influenced the background theme. I vectored puzzle pieces to represent the cases or mysteries that the character solves and then added some texture and filter to in photoshop. As for the character i used this scan http://www.animepaper.net/art/97799/neuro-01 vectored it and used offset path with different amounts and different colours. Finally added a 3D and drop shadow effect to obtain the stacked appearance.

I enjoy the stacked look of the character and you have some nice textures going on. Also your lineart has a nice sketchy feel.
Though a better description would be appreciated, like possibly linking the scan to see what you've done.

The overall feel is pleasant.
The medium and soft texture mix together to create a piece that feels 3D. Stacking the character adds more to that puzzle feel. Reminds me of those 3D puzzles. Of course the concept of puzzles and mysteries fit together. :D
