I was inspired watching the anime and in my last wallpaper, following the same concept in background, but with different brushes, mixing tech in top and grunge in bottom, with some intermediate brushes in center. The scan used was found in imageboard, that could be downloaded here:

it's just not possible to achieve industry standard quality of photos with a non-L lens in terms of sharpness, color quality and so on.
it's fine if you're working for small businesses who don't care about that stuff
I don't have a static IP, and I dislike those dynamic DNS whatsits, so NAS is fairly useless
but when you're doing a spread for a magazine they're very nitpicky about that stuff
@kath I mean like those ones that use an application on your computer to repoint the hostname to the new dynamic IP
like I said, getting NAS looking for stupid things I can do with it

This is a really good wall. The background plays to her fun quirky personality. It really stands out on the Home page.
I would have liked to see this in a widescreen super high resolution.
I do have to ask where on earth did you get those ghost in the shell like XL circles behind her they are really something.

The scan certainly fits the background! I'm like blown away it's a scan and not a vector, it's UBER clean! Background is well composed, though the brushes on the right, the circles with arrows are too strong in my opinion so the stand out too much.

I always prefer more when is vectored, even when is quite clean. You have more options to play with then, even when it costs more time. Anyways is likeable, due the oldschool anime, which I quite prefer. +Fav

I like this, it's very clean. It's simple. Maybe that's why it got a D rating? Maybe it's because Daphne in the Brilliant Blue isn't the best series. But that shouldn't hinder it. You did a very fine job with the design elements. I think the background is really compatible with her character considering her gear-head/techno skills.
