Really like what you did here. Good job on your first wallpaper!

I realize this is your first wallpaper, but I'm still going to give pointers to help you improve future works.

The background stock is too realistic for the very clean vector feel of the character. Also, her outlines are extremely pixellated. Also she looks as if she's a sticker on top of a real image. You need to work on the lighting of the character. Give her shadows, etc.

Did you do the 3d work yourself? I actually kind of like the wall. There is clearly room for improvement, but it's a cute concept. Maybe try to cell shade the background next time.

One thing sorely missing though is more detailed author comments. Walls are more interesting when we know more about what went through your head, and progress pictures are awesome :D

Good for a first wall, but not enough good to be in top rated - the background is too real and I think you didn't did enough job from your own side. (my points go for Nagi R.) Don't take it personaly, my first wall was worse, I just don't like the overrated popularity of K-on.

Yeah, the 2nd revison got even better!

The wallpaper itself is aesthetically pleasing...and structurally it works. But I mean...what's up with the girl in the forest? The theme doesn't make sense at all...? Why is she holding a guitar in the forest staring off like that? It's a little weird, thematically strange. Remember that pictures tell stories too. Try to consider that in your next wallpaper, but otherwise you're on your way to making great wallpapers.

I'm not fond of the dark version even if it kinda suits black tones from Mio. However, that's a nice wallpaper for a first attempt.

As Red-Eclipse pinpointed in your wallpaper, the background is too realistic and doesn't really match with the character.

Obviously, the second revise is way better than the first one, and I like it. I can agree with most people that the first one looked too realistic, however, I think the second one is a little bit too dark. Anyway, great job for your first wall, keep it up!~ Would love to see more from you :p

I think what throws me about the wall is just the chosen background image. It's the wrong setting. I picture her in a bar playing backup to some thrasher band, rather than out in the forest.
