I love the composition and the blurry stuff. There's jagginess in some places but it doesn't really bother me. It's a nice wall overall.

The details of the background and the whole wall itself is great. Choosing a dark theme was probably the best choice, but I would say that somehow, it looks too crowded. Maybe leaving some space would make it less crowded.

Anyway, took the test, and it was pretty accurate, and that Great War series seem interesting. I'll try to get my hands on it sometime this week. Thanks for the info^^

Nice wallpaper. Good blend of the scan with the background. Some parts are kinda jaggy but that's just a minor issue. I liked how you blurred some of the background. It made the wallpaper seem less crowded as the focus lays on the character. Good wall overall. ;D

I love the complexity of the background, brilliant job there. [BUT] . . . the longer I look at it, it seems like the picture is divided in half (left & right, dark & bright), but that's just my opinion. Overall I think it's a really good wall. Thumbs UP !!

Great display of skill.

I can see that pieces of the original vector were enlarged and modified to be used as background elements. That's pretty simple and effective. It also marries the background and the character naturally. The extra debris and items floating around really adds to this feeling of ruin. The blur, wow, it was used really well in this piece. It gives off the feeling of distance, depth, and motion. It adds dynamic to the wall. The lighting in the background is a very nice touch. :D

I'm in Awe! I like the way you put a blurry effects on some part of the wallpaper, it provides a really nice touch, includes the small lightning/shiny effects around Maka. The lineart is very clean, though i can be a bit confused on the BG, actually what're behind Maka. haha' Maka looks cute here, maybe because of the hair, they were shorter than the original. Overall, this wallpaper is Pure Awesomeness! and it'll be on my desktop soon' a definite +fav from me. Peace!

Great wall, not sure if the red thing on the bottom right is, seems out of place. Also you may want to try to work the Soul Eater into the background some how.

Regarding books: I hate reading. Didn't read Harry Potter or anything else .. I do read stuff, but mostly for gaining knowledge - almost never read for entertainment. Besides .. too much real life ****going on, that could easily have been a movie plot (e.g. WikiLeaks vs rest of the world). Who needs a book when you can just watch / read news and forums etc.?

So nice wallpaper. I really like the way you took the character (whos that-i havent seen the series) into focus by fading the background away. Even if you haven't done it so I would be sure the wallpaper would still looks great anyway, the background really rocks. Oh, and the book you mentioned seems pretty interesting, but I'd say Harry Potter is pretty interesting book too...

I have never seen a wallpaper of such robust color and quality, it almost seem like the guys at marvel decide to make a comic version of Soul Eater and this work itself pronounce perhaps a legendary waller as yourself. of course, I expect no less from Chaoskaizer, after all, you are one of my favorite all time wallers.

The Letters kind of stand out in a not too good way but other than that i don't see anything wrong with it.

This wall exhibits beautiful contrast, which to me is an important factor when deciding on a new wallpaper for my desktop. Beautiful contribution!

The blur effects and dark tones make for some really awesome effects. The only minor gripe I have is that there are some jagged edges on the character. Some anti-aliasing filters could probably remedy that. In any case, it's a clean and awesome work, thanks for sharing!

Whoa, this is really awesome. The pile of junk in the background with the withered Shinigami mask, gives off a dark atmosphere which goes really well with the whole theme of the wall. Maka seems to be some kind of junkyard princess wielding a deadly scythe.

Even though I took that depression test just for fun, looks like I have serious issues to deal with!! The result is "Moderate-Severe Depression". Maybe this signifies why I love these depressing kinda walls more often.

Very nice wall. I especially enjoy how everything is the same general tone in colour, yet somehow the stock still manages to stand out. The way you've highlighted the falling metal blades draws some connatations of wings, creating an interesting picture.

I actually am commenting on your sub-comment about harry turtledove. you should check out his darkness series. its a better transition from the harry potter reference; its a fantasy novel that lightly mirrors world war 2. and again, he uses just about every viewpoint at his disposal. and to make you feel even better, its not a trilogy but actually seven long books.

just a suggestion. if you liked the great war, you'll love the darkness series. its the same formula, but with magic and dragons and leviathans. even with all that magic, the books are about the people of the different lands, not the magic.
