My first submission to Animepaper. Please let me know if I need to improve my description, I shall do my best though.
This wallpaper took me a really long time, mainly in the planning stages of it. I had a general idea of where I wanted to go with it, but just no idea how I was going to emphasize the point I wanted to make. Finally, a friend of mine suggested I add images of his life in the clocks. That gave me the motivation to finish it, and while I altered her idea a little, I still love the way this came out.
I started with the tarot scan of Gin's. I love the way he looks in that shot, he's so mysterious and manipulating. I didn't really have too hard of a time extracting him, and after some altering of an image I've had in stock for awhile, I added him to the backdrop. I gave them both a few filtering effects, then added the scenes of his life from renders I acquired or extracted. After adjusting their opaqueness, it was pretty much set, and I got to work adding the fonts and phrases, of which I'd known from almost the start. After playing with the effects on those as well, to make them very visible and to compliment the image/backdrop, I added my signature and it was finally complete.

The concept is good its a nice idea well thought out though there are alot of things that could have made it so much better.
Your biggest problem is the quailty of the scans you've used. I wish they had been vectored! Your render looks like its been given a feathered edge... not such a brillant idea... Your clocks again couldn't have been vectored. Or even looked a stock and ressoruce images on deviantART.
I think you should have used a simpler font with almost no effects on them.. it draw attention away from the wall it's self.

You really got a nice and original idea, I have no doubts about that, although like what Killermuppet said, you could have vectored the clocks and Gin himself, and the fonts work best in plain white. I think it would be nicer too if the BG has sort of a "dark" feeling, and minimal grungy effects that would suit his personality (but that is just additional :D). Overall, this concept is really unusual, so good luck. :D

yup, like the other have said, very nice concept, i really like those clocks in the back. but the image quality should be improved. vectoring is certainly nice, but sometime choosing scans with better quality would do the trick too. also, the text above and below change seems not very professional with the colour it is and the border. something more plain and simple would work better visually in my opinion.

I loved this picture of Gin! It's from a special card or something released for the latest movie, the one about hell, if I'm not wrong. And you incorporated the picture so nicely into this wallpaper! Gin looks really hot here, and I also like how you added various pictures of him in the background, and the whole clocks idea to show that it was a series of images across his life. And uh it's sad when I think about the end of it. Anyway the words fit the whole mood of the wallpaper well too. Overall, great job! :)

I love this tarot image of Gin...I agree with you!He does look mysterious and manipulating...and what you did with the clocks and images of his life was add to that mystery that is Gin. The worlds also make sense! It's a really amazing wallpaper!

As far as the foreground image of Gin is concerned, the lineart and coloring could use a bit of work. The lines look a bit rough in some areas (which can look nice in some cases if the rest of the image works well with it) and I see that a bit of the color from his skin has bled into the tips of his hair. If those things were fixed, I believe that the quality as a whole would be vastly improved. Though others have commented on the background, I personally have no issues with it.
