I felt uber bored that I just decided to play around PS CS3. Stumbled upon the scan and ended up with making a wallpaper. Added a couple of textures, a smoke brush on the gun, a text behind saying "Canaan" which I tried to make it look like it was scribbled on the wall. Color corrected the whole thing added shadows and boom!

Nice placement and use of Tens vector. I like how she's looking straight at the viewer. Colours are rather attractive as well.
Your texture is a bit to strong that its drowning her out, ten's vector is very clean and smooth, while your bg is very grungy. I think lowering the textures somewhat. And maybe making the writing something like graffity im sure there will be loads of tutorials on it and even fonts. Not sure if the smoke is meant to be black, if its apart of the manga/anime or not.
But its pretty smart Like it!!

Yay it's Canaan!!! >w< Lovely wall, although I do think the writings on the wall is a bit... sketchy... a graffiti would suit the whole picture much better ;D

such a great wall, very gritty and the theme really captures the show. also, the text in the back is just mixed in perfectly, i usually don't like text in walls but this works really well. good stuff!
