Hey =P I was Reading the Vassalord manga and I fall in love of many of his pages, is not usual but, The personage we are looinkg in the wallpaper is one of the main character using a costume. Well I like a lot his pose, face and eyes. Surely i will do some more wallpapers from vassalord.
It was difficult to do some parts of him, I doesn't know if just do the vector, or follow and keep the mangaka style on the vector, it take some time but, I did it by that way. I don't wanted to use the Bg of the manga, because it not stand out Charley so well as I want. He seem to be on a roof, watching the city, that was my first idea, but I decide to use a Bg of togainu no chi the game and using a some squares spaces fo the BG and put some images from the artbook, like digital pictures, and add some shades and tones. And then we got a place like him, like his colors and similar to vassalord manga.
I really enjoy doing the vector, dress, face, the hair, "woah" was my favorite part I did =) and painting it was fun too.

The vectoring job is really great though the lineart is kinda weird for me. There are some jagged parts also. The concept of this wall is really nice but the BG is kinda ruining the whole mood of this wall----well, due to its severe blurriness. Maybe if you found a more suitable and HQ image of an alleyway, the BG would fit and match his mood. Also, adding some lights and more shadows would be nice too. ^^v

the scene is good, the edited to change the ads gives a great atmosphere. I think that looks like a movie scene o-o. and of course the vector very much to your style is still a good job.

Have to agree with Horseradish. The idea is nice (I'd love to see a version you mentioned in the description though, Cherry on the top of a building watching over the city.. looking for his next victim or something, hehe), but the contrast between the blurriness of the bg and the vector is especially distracting where his hair meet the bg. But I love the colors you used on him, great choices!

I like the whole theme. I do find the vector and the background don't quite match. The proportions seem off. I love the coloring job on the vector and how you added smaller artwork in the background. I've read this manga many times and had never noticed he has smaller braids on top of his head. The coloring job brought that out and made it more noticeable.
edit: I tried to download it and upon further inspection, the background is not that good. It didn't quite make the transition to a bigger size and it looks jagged in places. Too bad 'cause I really like the vector.
