Well, I haven't submitted a wall here in about two months O_O So I decided it was time =) When I heard this song play and thought of the video game it came from, I was motivated ^^
~I dedicate this wall to all the Suikoden lovers out there ^_^ This wall is based on the song "Her Sigh" which is the theme of the Jowston City-State of Radat.
About the wall: ---Took about 4 days to make ---I wanted to take my audience to the simple, peaceful village of Radat and so I made brushes to incorporate such a setting and atmosphere ---Hardest part of all---the making of the water which used no effects, but just me painting it with various colors, highlights, and shadows--a different style I wanted to try out including making ripples by hand following the original artist of the scan. If you don't like it...tough =P LOL

Main thing I would say is it's a little difficult to tell where she enters the water - a few stronger ripples radiating from her legs may help.
Also, I think I'd go for a sharper look in the back. I know it's distant and shold be blurry, but I think you could use a little artistic licence :). No real reason on that - I think it just might look quite nice :).

i can't believe this wp only got 6 comments! it's a travesty i say! i swear, sometimes some of the ppl here wouldn't know an awesome wp if it came up and slapped them in the face! (jk.....)
well, enough of my tirade.....on to my praise of your wp ;P i think you did an amazing job with the water, i can imagine how hard that was not using any filters. i love this style of drawing, looking at her makes me want to check out the series she came from. and because i haven't seen anything from this series before i wouldn't know if the bg suits her but it's so good that i don't really think that matters one way or the other (oh, and i don't mind the "bluriness").
the colors really are amazing and blend together nicely. i think i might have a thing for red-heads, so maybe that's another reason why i like this wp. anyways, i think i should stop talking now. this is definitely a fav! :)

I think that this wallpaper is very beautiful! I love the colour of the background a lot! Makes it feel as if it is late evening with night just coming on! Gives the wallpaper a nice peaceful atmosphere. I love the detail you took with the bridge in the background. I really like the silhouettes of the workers on the bridge! That's a nice effect and looks great! I like the way the water looks too! Nice colour and ripples! The scan of the girl is very cute! She looks great in a kimono! Excellent! Favorite!
