I found this scan in nattoli.net and it really caught my eyes. I liked the art and the colours that yusuke kozaki used, so i immediately decided to make a wall with it.
The work is 80% illustrator (vectoring the character and making the vinyls )and 20% photoshop ( the stars and a touch of gradient). as for the time spent, it took a whole day to finish.
As for the title i choose the 90's song title"groove is in the heart" because the character reminded me of the singer (^▽^). It also reflects the festive mood "partying" that i wanted to represent in the wall.
Hope you all like it and all comments are welcome

The character is deformed/warped. You shouldn't use photos for walls. I think your lines are too thin, there are many color leaks.

i like the background ALOT; i have a serious thing for vinyl.
but the character looks really bad. if you planned on working from a scan with a fold in it then maybe you could've used the perspective tool realign her hip? good job at fabricating the hair as well, i just dont know about the bent strand at the top, it kind of makes it look like she has horns.
other than those two things i really like it, the background gives me ideas.

looks at scan..
so that's why it looks like that.. I was like, her right arm is just too short.. I really like it but her body isn't well. ^^; It should have been fixed before vectoring

I think you are in the right direction for the wall, but you used the wrong scan to make it, but good job !

The main character is kinda deformed, but I do like the way you did your background. You just might need a little more work on this and it would be great!
