Vampire Knight Sadness

I really like this scan of zero, he has this sad air around him and you manged to catch that this time, also the bg goes well with his emotions. I still think you could use some highlights about everywhere, except his skin, I like that. =]

I like the overall feeling of sadness of the wall.

I applaud you for taking on B&W manga scans. I wouldn't touch them unless I had to. The character has a sad expression that is attractive. Shading of the skin is very smooth and glowy. The background feels like he has a lonely night at school or a mansion. The breaking glass is a nice little detail to add to make it feel older and torn.

It would have been nice if you kept his thicker lower eyelashes. Without them, the top lashes feel a bit too thick. The general shadowing should be present at the bottom of the windows. I also feel that the shadows facing towards the torch should be lighter or be turned into faint highlights. According to the shadowing around the torch, it shouldn't be reaching that far down. The pillar feels a bit flat and should be rounder with stronger highlights and shadows. The wall is also lacking some strong highlights over all like the edge of the back of his head for example.

The broken glass should have some very light gradients to them since they are not exactly leveled with the rest of the glass. It refracts the light in different directions on each plane. Some technical detail you could maybe implement in a future wall.

I hope to see more walls from you that have a more technical detail. :D

I love it! zero is the best of VK! he is the character who offer us the best expression on the manga, and yes I feel him so nostalgic, maybe the nostalgic of his own humanity, I like the details you add on the wall on the bg. the craked wall, I wish more noise around the crack. The lights, the gloomy light over him, the shades, the moonlight behind the clouds, just the perfect balance, You always doing a beautiful work cilou <3

The lighting on Zero's face is stunning! That and his expression perfectly captures his fragile, emotional state.

Cilou, it is infrequent for me offer a favorite at any time and I have refused to even consider fav'ing someone's wall within a short interval after the offer a previous favorite. But today I will break my rule. I just saw alenas' wall and felt that it seriously was worthy of a fav, then after reviewing the other wall being add to the gallery I saw your wall and decided I had to fav it. That is two favorites, within the same day ultra-rare, to the extent that I have never done it before and probably never will again.

I am not even going to try to decide which wall I like like more. Congratulations on forcing me to break all of the rule for the sake of bowing in tribute to your talents. OTL

The Background scores the same. Since it's little empty and dark, it very well represent the theme of loneliness and "Sadness". A gorgeous wallpaper, despite not being a fan of Zero, your work with the vector is amazing to me, I like how you captured the expression of Zero, has managed convey the sadness of the character, i think the background is well chosen, on a cold night, everything looks so quiet and lonely giving an atmosphere more sad, good job on color selection, something to improve it would be more shadows, anyway your wallpaper is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, you always show much emotion in each of his works, thanks for sharing, + fav.

Just wow!!

i love zero, he is amazingly awesome, he is my favorite character , he is the cutes guy i have ever layed eyes on. But the sadness now that pretty wicked, everything in his eyes express his feeling, man it makes me sad when i see him like this, and the background its like he can see yukki anymore and he is sad about that. That is fantastic, amazing, beautiful, i love it, i want that picture of him like that.
