I remember how, when I submitted my first wall
about 2 years and 6 months back, I was frustrated about the fact that I lacked the overall skills and experience to really bring out the hidden potential of the scan I’d picked (-shivers- the melancholy of a painting noob with a brain spouting creative walling ideas)
It hit me that there was nothing stopping me from redoing my first wall and thus, Operation Remix took off on the 21st of January 2011. I started from scratch, dug up my old 1280x720 resolution, up scaled it to a blurry/fuzzy/pixilated 2560x1600 resolution and redid the girl first. Instead of a simple remake, I remixed he original with This awesome PH scan plus, in the spirit of my usual stubbornness, I added some original lace details on hems and on the flower brooch in her hair. Another part I really wanted to improve, were the eyes, which definitely do NOT look flat anymore in this version compared to the V1. I painted in a gentleh smile, and made sure those at-first-glance-always-so-odd-looking white eyelashes (I don’t think there’s another anime character with pure white lashes O.O) were more sophisticated (I imagined them to be more like those sensual lashes the female squirrel from Ice Age 3 keeps batting :3)
On to the background :p, one word: YUCK! I felt like I had to come up with an entirely new concept, which proved to be a challenge. Started out with creating plain satin-like curtains, but all I could think of was how uhm, empty it looked :p So in came the Renaissance styled antique chair for my girl to sit on, filled with piles of different sized cushions. The whole still felt horribly plain (except for the chair), so I proceeded with patterning the curtain and the cushion fabric, to harmonize them with the Renaissance themed sofa.
The white hair was actually what kept me from posting this about a week ago. I was very unsatisfied with it and, -as ala21ddin21 kept telling me x3- , I had to stop being afraid of adding in more colour because it was WAY TO WHITE AND BRIGHT! In the end there’s about 8 different shades in it (yes 8: 2 shades of gray, baby blue, light turquoise, a hint of peach, some mustard yellow, soft pink and purple-blue) but I kept it all very gentle and subtle. I hope that I’ve mastered white hair now, might come in handy if I ever want to wall the famous scan of the Kanade (Tenshi) dakimakura.
The 2010 Snow White Chaos Remix may not be perfect yet, but I AM confident it’s a whole lot better ;3 Thanks to everyone who’s supported me from the very beginning, I love you guys and without your advice and support I’d probably never have gotten to where I am now!

Looks like you should be able to see a part of the left eyebrow. I don't really like the lips, and the eyebrows look really creepy... Other than that, the extra detail in the hair is welcomed, and the chair/curtains you added looks really good (a much more appropriate background from what I've seen from this series' art)

This is absolutely beautiful! I Love those awesome shades on her hair + the your background. Her eyes is just so mesmerizing and i like the colors of it. Her smile would be better if you stick with the original since it looks kinda creepy as if she's scheming something but overall i love most is your shadings as a whole! Good job! +Fav! ^^,

This is ABSOLUTELY FANTASMIC and FANTABULOUS!!! <3 <3 <3 I do love the background very much and the adjustments that you did to the scan is amazing too. And OH the hair and the details!!! <3 Her eye-lashes are a bit sharp for me though (it's kinda popping out to you). Lace is very pretty. Overall, this is a pretty and elegant wall from you.

Ah! You completed the remix! Nice! The yellow bit at the top of her head seems a bit off... But the nice purples and that greenish color for the fancy bg are quite nice. :3 Good remix!

I think her smile in the original scan was a bit more fitting...the way you made her smile is a bit too curvy for me. Makes her look really malicious & creepy. O_o Also her eyelashes are too clumped together, they should be seperate and fluttery around her eyelid. The BG is really nice, I love the colors and the soft lighting effects you add. Looks very personal to her, as if she's closed into her small corner, very nice job.

It really has this chanel style of yours. The hair is a wow for the strands. I also love the curtains as well as the chair, but one thing I find odd was the eyelashes. They're kinda thick for my taste. I also find the character too bright compared to the BG. but you've definitely made it way nicer that the previous version and also your previous wallpaper. Overall it's very nice!

Fantastic job as usual, I'm impressed by the hight quality and hair. Maybe it's just me but I think her face (smile) is a little weird... Otherwise, the chair and BG with all arabesques and details are awesome! Excellent job!

The background is looking good, that curtain and chair is very nice. The character also looks good, though her skin at her shoulders and the sleeves of her dress are very bright, they could be in a bit darker shade. Nice wallpaper though.

I love all the details! It really sets a great style for the scene, and you did an absolutely fantastic job on the chair! I do think that her mouth looks a bit odd though. But man you actually did the lashes :O thats so awesome, I tend to try and do something to cover them up because i can never get them to look right...

A lot better than your previous version.
The colors are stronger and there are more details added. I really like the new background idea that you did for the wallpaper. It combines the character and background together as one instead of looking separate from each other. The designs are really attractive because they're elegant and shape to the object they're on.
The lighting on her skin looks like it was dodged really hard. I think it would look better if the transition wasn't so abrupt and had some sort of short fade.
Good work! I've been thinking about redoing my older walls too.

I don't think there's enough I can say about this to express how much I like it. I'll repeat that the background, especially the patterns on the curtains and chair cushion, is amazing. I particularly like the two lone petals on the arm of the chair, though I wouldn't be able to explain why. A little curious about the blue rabbit, I'll admit. Her hair is also incredibly detailed. I'm trying to remember if she ever makes that expression in the manga or anime. Must mean that Jack's nearby.
