[Sora no Otoshimono] Ikaros needs your nominations

** SHAMELESS PLUG**

International Saimoe 2011 nomination period is now open for the whole week and you can nominate 12 characters to the take part in the Preliminaries (if they get enough nominations, that is). Please lend your support to Ikaros, Nymph and Astraea (ESPECIALLY ASTRAEA!!!!!) by nominating them. Please take note of the "DO NOT NOMINATE" list (it's an expandable table) as the characters listed have automatically qualified to participate in the Preliminaries.

** PREFACE**

Yeah...was supposed to be submitted latest by Dec 31, 2010 but the version I was working on came out not the way I had envisioned. The vector was too busy and cramped, leading to severe visual imbalance against the upper portion (which was supposed to be a bit light on the tech elements). Solution? Let in more space between the tech and toned down the amount of elements inside.

Anyway, this wallpaper had gone through 3 incarnations as shown in chronological order below from left to right before settling on the above submitted version.

As promised to Akiranyo, this wallpaper is to use her vector featuring Ikaros.

Additional images of Astraea, Nymph and Chaos are added in as well. Why Chaos? She seems to have joined Tomoki's family of Angeloids from what I have known so far. Now...if someone is able to translate what is going on in this manga page. I'd very much appreciate it. XD

** BACKGROUND**

Tech. And a pretty much old-school one at that. Getting the placement and the design right was a major headache, one that took me ages to get it done. The amount of effort required kind of made me lose the mood to actually talk about it here. XD

** CLOSING**

With this submission, I guess I can finally call it quits to my walling hobby. Can't believe I have been holding on to walling for 10 long years starting from 2002 when I first joined Anime Layer. As one climbs the corporate ladder, work pressure becomes increasingly tougher and I would definitely like to spend whatever freetime I have to indulge in other relaxation activites (e.g. Playstation 3 + anime-marathons) and not having to divert my time to finishing up a wallpaper. Might throw in a wallpaper once in a while when my fingers get itchy but it will be like 1 or 2 years per wallpaper.

I'll still be hanging about in the ISML 2011 forums (under a different username) indulging in speculations on characters' performances in the upcoming rounds or butthurting over the loss of a favorite character (and maybe gloating over a win). So pop over and say hi there sometimes. The community might be small but hey, it's kind of fun in its own way as well.
