I love range murata art and style and when i spotted this scan i coludn't resist it. It is the first time that i vector range style and it was a little bit challenging for me (it took two days to finish).
In fact i wasn't intending to create a wallpaper with it, but while reading about photography techniques an idea just came to me. Her pose and look seemed as if someone is taking a picture of her so i decided to transform it into a photo-shot like wallpaper.
I painted the background in photoshop using a soft round brush and a cloud brush, then i added some scratches to the surface to give it that old look. I tried to create a retro look to the photo so i adjusted the colours and decided to apply a mix of lomo and cross processing effects (lomo effect is where the corners of the image have that dark shadow around them to resemble a camera lens, and the cross processing effect is where the colours of the image are over-saturated and strong).
Finally, i wanted to add a little twist to the image so i added sunglasses and film rebate around the image.
Hope you all like it and as always all feedbacks are welcome =)

The lines are very jagged, and I'm not sure what's up with the circle on the right. I love the colors though and the brushes you used for the background

Nice choice of scan, and the vector looks nice, personally like the vectored boomerang or her weapon that is. Her lips somehow looks a bit off. That sunglasses reminds me of Ray Bans, especially the aviators, and I think it is. You should make the sunglasses completely dark and glossy and reflective, just like the Ray Ban aviator sunglasses. Or better off without it. Well, that's just my personal taste. Anyway, lovely background as it gives the cool feeling, and overall, it's a great job!~

Nice homage to slide film. My dad shoots tons of it so I'm very familiar with it. The eyes still freak me out a bit. but all in all it's a wonderful wallpaper, I like the soft colors and the effect you used come off nicely. +fav

When I looked upon the thumbnail, I said whats the hell up with her eyes? Sunglasses, lol. Actually I like the one without it better, but is good to have a alternative with. Kinda yakuza style with that.

I'll go for Revision 2. I actually would have gone for Revision 3 but having that 2nd choice... The addition of the sunnies sure made it more badass, but the addition of the frame just about adds more feeling. For me, it completes it =D

I'll go for Revision 1, i dont like the sunglass
well, the vector and the name of the wallpaper are perfect, but the back ground lacks of elements.
is a good attempt.

Gorgeous work, murata's artwork perfectly blends with the blurred background and makes it more realistic
