I love the fire in the background, it complements Hei. I only wish that the copyright was a little smaller and the color of the text was less bright so it would blend in. Nice job otherwise +fav

He and his sword is dancing in the fire. His pose is very active and cool.

You have a really cool background, but the signature could be made smaller and closer to the edge so that it is not too obvious. With enough practice, this can be a really cool wallpaper (ex: add more details to the main character). Still, good job on your first attempt. You are off to a good start!

The lighting isn't exactly great. It looks like a vector and a simple fractal background put together So in my eyes, it looks like little work was put into this Just my thoughts on it

Congratz on your first wall!

This is not a bad first wall at all, but i've been around for a while so I'll give you some pointers.

First, add more to your description. It's always great (for me as a downloader) to know how you made the wall and where it came from. You did mention the vector was by FiiFO, but I'd like a link to the specific vector as well to see what changes/improvements you made. If you used photoshop, HERE is a great tutorial on how to create an animated .gif that you can use to show your progress.

As already mensioned, you can make your sig much smaller... as in just visible and hidden underneath the start-bar.

Ok, now for the wall. To be brutally honest, it doesn't look like you made any huge changes to the vector; and used some fire/crimson brushes for the BG which you found somewhere. So, there is nothing wrong with using downloaded brushes, but keep in mind that the brushes need to fit the application. You have an excellent idea for the wall, but the brushes/BG doesn't really suite the style in whitch Hei was created.

If you don't know how to vector, go to 'Nysha's page. In her 'about me' section is her tutorials that will get you VERY far if you follow them.

Always keep in mind the light source. From the vector it appears that the light is coming from in front, above and to the right of Hei, but you created a strong light source with the BG whitch now conflicts with the vectors.

I'll leave you with that. Please don't let my comment bum you out, keep walling and keep improving! (If you want to be a good waller, youd need to be able to take hard and helpful comments)

I think this is a great start, but more work could make it excellent. In particular, it'd be good to make the vector blend in with the background better so it would feel like one whole instead of a vector on the top and a separate background on the back.
